Kittens

Remember the mother cat who has set up housekeeping
in our yard? Well I found her litter on Saturday!
We were moving Monster Fern outside for the season and
these little guys were scampering around our courtyard.
Looks like they've made a little home out of the
crawlspace opening!
I've always had a soft spot for these classic gray tigers.
I used to have a cat that looked very similar to this one. Although this orange sherbet one sure is sweet! This one is very cute with his black fur. It makes his white eyebrows and whiskers stand out...not to mention the milk mustache! lol.... Although they were terrified of me, I made them endure some holding, scratching of ears and photographs.

  5. Oh how precious. Each one is darling in its own way! Makes me wish my grandsons were not allergic to cats...I'd take one of those kittens... Of course it would have to be UPS.

You could sell those picture for a Pet Calendar.

    Happy Mother's Day dear Betsy.

  7. They are sweet kittens. Our feral that we fed all winter is almost tame, but went three houses up to have her kittens. She may bring them back after they grow up. I like your photos.

  16. They are absolutely adorable!
    Any takers yet?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh, they're precious! Are you going to adopt one or more?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I don't think we will be adopting any...but they may adopt us! Who knows! Their mom is certainly wild and won't have a thing to do with me. Although she will come take food off the porch if I put it there and leave. ha.

  19. They are all cute kitties for sure
Although you better watch the door
As one day you might open it up
And in they'll walk like a gullable pup
Then Nugget will have a fit
And they'll run from him trying not to get bit
Either way looks like you have some squatters on your grass
Imagine if each one does a little diddy then you'd have a whole mass..lol
Yes mind goes to the gutter there
But then your grass could be replaced with tons of cat hair

  20. Pat ~

that is so true as our whole yard could become a litter box
as least cats cover up their spots
    they leave certain places
    unlike dogs for goodness sakes.

    just ask Brian...lol...

  27. i want that orange cat!!!!

seriously if you make your way to cleveland bring him up!!! my cat family has been without an orange cat since my beloved bubba passed away.

i'm not really looking but if an orange cat made his way to my door, i wouldn't turn him away.... we our down to 3 cats which is a historic low, but been waiting as one of the cats is 19 years old and i didn't want to upset the apple cart until she crosses the rainbow bridge....but then again best laid plans of mice and men....

  32. AWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwwWWWWWW. Very darling indeed.

Are you now giving them milk?! what wil come of them?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Mmm ~ no, I'm just feeding mom if she asks for anything. I think they are still getting milk from her. Mom is very wild and won't let me touch her and she's quite the hunter. I saw a dead robin waiting under a bush...it was her dinner I'm guessing! eeek!
