And Then There Were Four

Hope you don't mind a kitten update!
Mother Cat will still come and eat on the back porch
but won't let me get closer than 2 feet. She did, however,
let me stay on the porch as she ate today. Before, she
wouldn't come to the food until I went inside.
So I had coffee in the porch swing as she ate with
one eye still on me, of course! ha.
You remember this cute orange marmalade one?
Kim...this one would love to live in Cleveland!
If you're serious, let's try to get it to you some time!
Adorable grey tiger just couldn't be any cuter! Little Milk Mustache is still sporting those white whiskers! Then I had to do a double take. This one isn't Milk Mustache! No 'stache at all! There's a fourth kitty! Socks would be a cute name! Pretty adorable, I'd say! Taylor wants to keep all of them. Um, no. I have five men. I don't need five cats. :)

  4. Five by Five
You might not get out alive
    Be alot of poop
    That you'd have to scoop
But one or two wouldn't be much trouble
Of course Nugget would hop away on the double
Yes they are all quite cute
And all different colors to boot
You know what would be swell
If you said what the hell
    Opened the door
And let chaos ensue across the floor..LOL

Then I really would be Dr. Doolittle with a zoo under my roof!
I'd be labelled as crazy, as if the neighbors needed any more proof!

  11. So so cute! Hey, we should have a kitty underground railroad - my husband could take it as far as Urbana (where he works) then we could get someone else to pick it up from there...

  12. Bug, that just might work! haha.

  13. They could be calendar pictures they are so cute! I always wonder how stray cats who probably aren't that healthy can have such beautiful, healthy kittens!

  14. they are very cute little kitties,
and you are right, you have enough to keep you busy without turning into a cat hoarder.

Did you know my son was an animal welfare officer for 8 years? I have such a soft spot for dogs, and he would not allow me to come to the shelter as he knew I would want to take all of the dogs home with me.

Hope you find a good home for all of them.

  16. A cat for each of your men...how nice! I'm a sucker for kittens...I just love the way they play when they're little! These are beautiful...I hope you can find good homes for them! (Not that it is your responsibility! Any idea if the mom has an owner?)

  17. I think that little guys name should be Got Milk?. They are adorable.

I love kittens! We had seven kittens born in our house ten years ago. They sounded like a herd of cattle running through the house after we went to bed at night. We found homes for six of them and Little Cat is still with us.

  18. Anita ~ no owner ~ she's wild and has been in the neighborhood a couple of years now.

  19. We had a stray cat show up once and have kitties at our house. It was so much fun. It was Cheney who fell in the love with our kitties the most!

  21. Nice to see that the kittens are somewhat friendlier than their mother seems to be.

  22. I checked your bio just to make sure you didn't live anywhere nearby. I would not be able to say no to that mustached cutie.

  23. Ima ~ not in Ohio? Oh shoot. Yes, he's so cute, isn't he?

  24. oh these are really cute kittens and fantastic photos!

  25. Yes, they're all cutie pies. I especially like the orange cream one. He looks like one we had years ago. I'm sure you'll find a good home for them.

  26. Awww, just awww . . I'd have one if it could fly 8000 miles and not eat birdies

    ReplyDelete
  27. Of course we don't mind a kitten update. I consider myself their British Uncle.

  28. Beautiful kittens. I hope they will all find good homes.

  29. aw, i love orange cats!!!!!!!

  30. They are adorable! Have a new one that is about a week old. 3 outside, 1 that stays out all night and sleeps in during day and then my daughter has one that will be going with her. They are so lovable. I think the men all need their own!

  31. These photos are just adorable. I think there is nothing in this world as cute as a kitten's face!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I could never 'mind' talking about cats! They're all adorable, but MM is too, too cute :) My Andy will soon be a yr. old & I can't imagine not having that boy!

  33. OH MY! SO CUTE. Betsy, my mom has LOVED watching those kittens. She doesn't even care for cats but WHO can resist their CUTENESS!??

    ReplyDelete
  34. They are so precious. My grandparents had kittens when I was a little girl and the sweet little gray one looks just like "Gray Gray" (original name,uh?) lol
About the hairspay on poison ivy...I start spraying it when I first see it appear...just keep it on....it gets really dry. I guess it smothers it or something. Good luck, I hope Taylor doesn't have a need to use it this year.

  35. I LOVE hearing an update about the cats! They're so cute.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh they are just too adorable, and love the variety of colors and personalities.

Lets, see 5 men, 5 cats...that might be a tad much! HaHaHa

  39. what a face, how can i not be serious! could be the answer to my orange cat prayers!

if you are heading to cleveland when the kitten is old enough he's got a home....since i don't have a car, it might be more difficult for me to pick him up, but not impossible.....there several days when f will be out of town and i'll have use of his vehicle. will email you soon.....

  40. Hi! Betsy...
All I can say is the litter is cute!
Mother Cat...is just extremely, weary Of strangers.
By nature, some cats are just "fraidy" (SP) cats!

    By the way,
I agree with Pat Hatt, I don't know about that bunny! (Nugget) and yours and Pat Hatt's banter is truly funny!
    LOL!

    Thanks, for Sharing!
    DeeDee ;-D

  41. Kimy ~ ok, it's a deal. And really no rush as they are not wanting to be near a human at all. I'm hoping they become used to me as the days go by. I think one would be traumatized to be taken on a long road trip all alone right now!

    ReplyDelete
  42. i like them all ..so happy they adopted your yard ... little milk mustache is my favorite, thanks for the update~

    ReplyDelete
  43. even if you can't pet or handle mama cat, it would be great if you and the boys can start handling the kittens - the sooner the better in terms of human-feline bonding!

it is a rare cat that likes car rides!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. kim ~ right, I agree!~ But I don't even see them every day as they are now scampering around the neighborhood! I only see them every few days now. They will stay close though, if I'm offering food and water, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh, why are they so cute as kittens? I don't need or want a cat...but now. Your fault!

    ReplyDelete
  46. How sweet of Taylor to want to keep them all. Are the triplets interested in them? They are so adorable.

    ReplyDelete
  47. oh, i've fallen hard for the sweet gray tiger!! she would be a wonderful companion to willow!

  48. Awwww The kittens are adorable! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
