Antique Auction

I worked at an auction all day on Saturday!
Some highlights...left to right and top to bottom....
as seen from my post at the clerk's table.
  1. Auctioneer Bart, part of the father/son team of the auction business.
  2. Crowd of bidders
  3. Weller lamp...going for over $200.
  4. And old Coke Cooler and some vintage oil cans.
  5. Crockery.
  6. Old 1950's Coca Cola vending machine.
  7. The lunch line. Lunch was catered by Three Mom's Catering. Three cute little old (70ish) ladies who have known each other since high school. Their food is known for homemade yummy goodness.
  8. Auctioneer Bryan. Fastest chanter in the business. I'd bet money on it. ha.
  9. Coconut cream pie...part of my lunch. :)
  10. Auctioneer Keith (and Bart's dad), the patriarch of the business.

Next auction I'll have to turn the camera around and show you myself and the three other ladies I work with and what we do while we are there!

  1. Ok - enough of the coconut cream pie! I actually dreamed about it the other night! Ha! No one else in my family like coconut cream pie, so the only time I get it - is if we have a church dinner OR I have someone to share with. I love auctions, have to really reel myself in when I'm there. Have a great weekend, and thanks for sharing! Sandi

  6. Fun! Your auction posts always remind me of our South Carolina days where most Thursday nights found us attending a local auction in a nearby small town. It was a family business and the personalities were colorful enough to provide ample entertainment.

I think I would bid on the coconut pie.

  12. The coconut pie looks so yummy that it almost makes me want to go out and buy one.

Antiques are so cool and they always make me think about the saying; "If these walls could talk...". So I sometimes wonder if these antiques could talk what would they say. Could you imagine some of the stories they could tell.

    God bless.
