Lucky

A beautiful garden comes from sunshine, rain, love and luck!
*****
The theme for this Creative Tuesday is luck!
This little wren is looking forward to spring and
a beautiful garden full of veggies and flowers.
Planting a garden in Ohio is a good 10 weeks away,
but the seed catalogs have already arrived!
I will feel very lucky if the stray cat I've watched for
months decides to hang around the yard during the
summer. Maybe she'll keep the raccoons out
of the strawberry patch!

Colored pencils on printer paper.

I had the same idea with a basket, except I put Molly in mine!! Every time I try another medium, I always end up with watercolor.

  22. So, SO cute. St. Pat's is one of my favorite holidays...mostly because I am married to an Irishman and enjoy the food so much but it also signifies SPRING!

  23. Hey Betsy...is that stray cat a tiny little calico? I have consistently seen one right by your house and your dear neighbors (she had kittens outside M's office window!!)

  24. Jill ~ Yes~ She did have kittens last year. She's a sweetie...naps on our back porch. I've seen her catch birds in mid air from the feeder...quite the little hunter!

  35. HEY! Where do you get seed packets for only five cents apiece???

    ReplyDelete
  36. Silver ~ they must be vintage, right? 'cause they're $1.05 now! :)

  37. What a cute little sketch! Love the little wren, just the right touch. :-)

  38. I hope the cat stays!!

Wonderful! You mean there are seeds for four-leaf clover??

Aren't seed catalogues cheerful on dreary winter days?

    Fabulous sketch!

  39. EVA ~ I don't think there are seeds for them...at least not packaged for sale. My seed packet is for shamrocks...which are actually 3 leafed! ...but Irish just the same....and hopefully lucky!
