Scarf

The theme for this Creative Tuesday is scarf.
Mr. and Mrs. Jay are sharing an extra long cable knit scarf.
It's keeping them warm and cozy this winter!
And here below is my inspiration for my drawing...
the real Mr. and Mrs. Jay, as seen from my "window nook
kitchen office". You see why I'm happy the feeder is in
view? I never miss a thing while sitting at my desk!
You should see them swallow peanuts whole! At least
the chickadees nibble on them and savor every bite! LOL!
Come join us over at Creative Tuesdays!
Mr. Toast is the best host and we have a lot of fun.
No talent required. And it's only twice a month!

  1. Oh Betsy, how adorable... You could almost call them "Love Birds" all intertwined in that lovely scarf!!!

Great job, love the details of the tree, leaf and snowflakes. This is wonderful...I think it would make a lovely note card.

  5. awww...cute little jays...bet the scarves keep them a little warm...

  6. Thanks, Wanda~ I think I've finally figured out that it's layers of colors that make things look more realistic with colored pencils...that and trying to do more with shadowing. Now that I've figured out trees and bark, you may be seeing lots of them! LOL!

  10. Your art work is so cute! I wish we had birds here but no trees next to us. I have put out a bird feeder but it is still full.
As for finding my recipes..I don't know how to do all that, I am still a dummie about most of this. I do know where my bread recipe is and thats about it! ;D

  15. The window feeder is a fabulous idea. I use the window sill outside and in the summer have to scrub it off as it gets dirty. The problem with it is that it is too low and I have to stand up and shoot down on the birds through the glass. Not the best solution. I will have to see about making a feeder that hooks on or over the window sill some way.

I like your blue jay picture too. Very talented. I think you and Tess are sisters or related, cousins, maybe. You two look so much alike. I hope you are related.

  16. Delightful Betsy, absolutely delightful. Picture and photograph alike.

  17. Abe ~ thank you. The flower box makes a great feeder in the winter because you can just open the window to fill it! :)

    Tess is my sister, yes.

  18. So cute!!!
When I first looked at this I thought "that's so sweet" then I started looking at the details and the snowflakes in particular, and I was just wowed.
I don't know how you find the time. Do the boys like to draw at all? I'd love to see something they produced

  19. Birdie ~ I'm so fortunate to have time when they are at school every day and I stay up waaaay too late to enjoy some quiet night time hours. :)

No, they don't draw! Some autistic kids do and are very good. A few years ago I tried..I thought drawing trains would intrigue them but nobody had interest. I should try again now that they are a little older!
