Over Christmas break, we took the boys to EnterTRAINment Junction,
the worlds largest train display. It's just a year old and only an hour
from our home. Needless to say, the boys had a wonderful time!
I love the way Harry senses when Alex is feeling anxious.
He's such a sweetheart and loves on every body. :)
where we went and how long we stayed. Spencer was in charge
of course and he had to do a quick once-over of the whole facility
before he'd settle down and actually appreciate what was there.
Two miles of track...
Aerial views and up-close-and-personal ones, too.
Old time steam trains with cow-catchers in the Old West to
the contemporary diesels running through skyscrapers.
They left more than their share of fingerprints on the glass!
Glad to finally see all of those shots. And right-side up, no less! Looks like fun for all!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun, special family outing!! My boys would absolutely love this place. Wouldn't it have been fun to meet you there?!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!
ReplyDeleteDo they all love trains? Or is one boy more into trains?
Dumb question, look at them. They all love them.
Great picutes. I love to see families enjoying being together.
Christine~ yes, they all love trains..always have. It's really more of an obsession. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great family trip!
ReplyDeleteI noticed all the boys are wearing headphones. Are they listening to something, or drowning out background noise?
What a fun day and fun memories you made! I lurve it, my kids would enjoy a day there too!
ReplyDeleteThe boys look like they were having a wonderful time. How sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love these boys! I have from the first time I saw your blog, you know! Thank you so much for letting us peek into your fun!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'll bet they love the boring documentaries because they are calming for them. You think?
ReplyDeleteOnce when the kids were a lot smaller we took two extra teens with us so we had one person for each of our four kids when we went to the City Museum in St. Louis. And we still lost Ben. We knew the general vicinity of where he was, we just had to make sure he didn't get out. So I totally get about having Taylor be an extra set of eyes!
I also think it's funny that Spencer had to do a once-over before he could enjoy it. That makes me crack up.
What a wonderful place to bring the triplets. I know how much they love trains!
ReplyDeleteWhat a grand time ~ When you have such a love for something..and then get to be somewhere that is full of what you love... Oh my the boys look so happy!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is somewhere I would sure enjoy visiting.
It seems like a place even I would enjoy.;) The boys seems to be really into it - they look so cute on the pictures.;))
ReplyDeleteAnd your oldest one is really handsome.;)
Maybe I ask why the triplets have the earphones? Do they listen to music? Sorry if this is a stupid question.
xoxo
Great pics! I could tell the boys really enjoyed themselves!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day!
Hugs

Looks like a fantastic place to go for some fun & it's quite obvious from their attentiveness to their surroundings that they loved every minute of it!
ReplyDeleteYour sons are so wonderful.. it is so sweet to see how close they are to each other.
Great photos & it's wonderful that their big bro came along too!
Have a great day Betsy!
I think love of trains is universal among male children!! Alex, my grandson, is obssesed by the train!! Love that you all enjoyed this outing. Looks like a perfect way to spend some family time.
ReplyDeleteKathy G and Zuzana ~ the headsets just muffle sound. They are very sensitive to a lot of noise, especially out in public, crowded places.
ReplyDeleteKayren ~ we were afraid Spencer was going to fly through the place in 5 minutes and be ready to leave! haha. We were glad when we figured out what he was doing. :)
ReplyDeleteThis place looks like it was made especially with your boys in mind. I bet they could have stayed all day.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
Kayren ~ I should have added that I'm sure we were quite a sight, as I had ahold of the back of Spencer's shirt to keep track of him and had to constantly hold him back from running...so I kept him slowed down to a very fast walk...all the while saying "Excuse us!" to people he practically ran over! haha. Oh dear.
ReplyDeleteTimeless, a boy's love for trains. A girl's as well (as in me.) I can only imagine how special the day was for all your boys.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great day out.
ReplyDeleteI'd have probably stood there for longer than 30 minutes. I love miniature worlds.
ReplyDeleteSuch good pictures of the boys. Looks like a great day for everyone.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous day! Love the pics!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your boys had such a fun day seeing the trains! What a great memory for you all! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a stroke of good luck for the boys that this place is so close to you. It's so obvious they had a great time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous outing...I loved your pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool place! Really nice to see them enjoying the trains so much. I have to admit I get like that around them to and it's hard to leave. I always want to see the train come just one more time around!!
ReplyDeleteIt seems Alex has his hands in prayer. Sweet that his brother looks after him...as well as Taylor's help.
ReplyDeleteThis place looks fascinating. I have a friend that would love to see this...thanks for sharing the site for it.
The boys look good on the side bar...nice photo.
Oh how wonderful! I know they had a brilliant time! Was Alex just nervous at going out or was he afraid he wouldn't be able to keep up with Spenser?
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Harry and Alex in the car is my favorite. It's so sweet!
Amazing looking displays there. I'm sure S, H and A loved it1 did T too?
ReplyDeleteI see they had a christmas Carol and Journey to the North Pole--did you do those at all, or was the queue simply too long?
Sounds like you had a good time actually so that is excellent. I've never been into toy trains but this looks quite incredible. Love the sort of aerial views, looking down on farmland, etc. And to think, the world's largest is right there in Ohio! Whoa.
I love these experiences. Very well described through text and pics as well. I love everyday with my 3 year old, can't get enough & look forward to these types of moments as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks
that is so cool...my boys would have loved it as well...facinating...glad they had a great time...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place! My grandson was so fascinated with trains when he was little. I knew where a couple of cars were parked and took him there often and he would say "Thomas, Thomas". It was fun. He would probably still enjoy the Junction, I know I would!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the pictures of the boys. They look totally absorbed in the displays.
So nice to see pictures of your boys having a nice time. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat an enterTRAINing (loved that you did that, ps) treat! Your boys looked like they were in heaven! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, actually, I'D love that place too! I always wanted toy trains.
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome...they must have had great dreams that night! I would love to visit there! :D
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun way to spend the day! I'm not particularly into trains but I think I probably would've enjoyed it there too, from all your pictures.
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty neat. Love the shot of all three gazing through the window. Crowd control can't be easy with that lot!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome trip! Betsy! I have never heard of it! Must go!
ReplyDeleteThe photos are perfect!
This looks really cool. I did not know about it. Fun to see the pictures and their responses! Hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteI reckon you'll need a return visit here in the not-so-distant future Betsy, I think it's gone to the top of the boys Fun Things To Do List!
ReplyDeleteMillie x
Betsy - I loved this post. Every photo told a story and it was fun to see the boys together. It was interesting to see Tyler helping out and Harry being so compasionate. Thanks for sharing this train outing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day!!!! I am sure you will go back. They certainly did love it!! I love that Taylor went, too. Davin always loves it when Cheney comes with us:-) He is his favorite!
ReplyDeleteHey Bets, I have not been around in awhile. Sorry bout that. I love this place. My kids would love this place. Even the girl. If we ever get to Ohio, we will totally make a point of visiting.
