Torosay Castle looks like something out of a dream! Mr. Toast put on quite an amazing tea last year. I know he will outdo himself again! Right now I'm looking forward to a cozy bed and a roaring fire in the fireplace! I need some sleep as Sunday we party! My date, Keith, had a scheduling conflict and had to cancel! Oh, how disappointing! He's off to France (for real!) for the weekend. He took me to the tea last year and we had such a good time. Rather than grab someone last minute on the Orient, I've decided to go it alone. Well, I won't really be alone, will I? Maybe this pretty purple and blue dress will catch someones attention? Now that I've shown it off, I must grab my mink wrap before I get too cold! See you there! Today at 12:00 PM, EST
I think we party til we drop. ha.
Oh yes, you will catch someone with your looks, your up-sweep of curls, and that dazzling dress. I will have to keep a close eye on my escort,...He's been known to have a roving eye for beauty!!!
ReplyDeleteWe should be arriving sometime today... See you there...now get some sleep!
Thank you for taking us along on the Orient Express! Your dress is simply to die for. Can't wait to hear all about Mr. Toast's Tea!
ReplyDeleteLove your dress, Betsy, what gorgeous colours. Have a good sleep.
ReplyDeleteOh Ms. Betsy! I am with you in spirit .... will you share your gown with me?
ReplyDeleteah i think your dress is gorgeous betsy...i will look for you there as well...smiles.
ReplyDeleteWanda...haha, well, if you don't mind me having a dance with him, I promise to return him to you! ;)
ReplyDeleteOoh Betsy: I've just arrived, and the castle is magnificent !
ReplyDeleteI just had to say, I absolutely love your dress, how beautiful you will look, and your hair is just gorgeous.
I'm dining in the great hall as we speak, and soon will retire to bed.
I look forward to seeing you tomorrow, we'll have a ball :)
Jo ~ oh, you're already there? How lucky! I'm sure everything is just gorgeous! Now don't get lost roaming from room to room! Can't wait to join you!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, such elegance as we here in the humble Hollow have never seen. A dress of much magnificence! I may have to hide behind the divan and simply observe.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, your dress is GORGEOUS! And of course you must have a dance or two with Unks. You are in the land of you ancestors and you should honor the clan. We will have to venture out to Sorbie Castle.
ReplyDeleteLovely dress, Betsy! I'm sure the Laird of Glenbogle would love to take a turn or two on the dance floor with you:) I do believe he has a wee fondness for brunettes... ;)....
ReplyDeleteSee you tomorrow evening. We'll be arriving later tonight...rather exhausted, I'm sure......
I caught a glimpse of you as we were being led upstairs - you look stunning and you hadn't even got to the evening wear stage!
ReplyDeleteCat ~ yes, let's take a little trip over to Sorbie while we are there! That would be so much fun! I also need to find a place to purchase some of my tartan!
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ brunettes, huh? :) Well, a dance with your date would be very fun...I'll be sure and return him to you! ha.
ReplyDeleteI'm arriving tonight also...can't wait!
Bee ~ awww..thank you! But I must say I've seen all of your wardrobe that you displayed and your taste in clothing is exquisite! We'll have so much fun visiting! I'm going to try to steal a dance from Alfred. Do you think he would do it? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he could do it very well!
ReplyDeleteI doubt that he has two left feet!
So glad you made it Betsy. I trust you;ve been shown to your cozy quarters and they are to your liking? Mind you, not that you;ll even want a wink of sleep now, may want to stay up all night long until you do indeed drop in fact, as I realise, of course, without your boys to manage you must feel so rested indeed. Take it all in now, relax and enjoy. Waht a marvelous journey indeed! Love the dress btw. I'm quite sure that will catch the attention of many. Poor old Keith is really missing out.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun trip. Thanks for sharing it with me. Dreams are so good!

ReplyDeleteI'll be wearing the Zorro outfit, and bringing a spare cape...
In case it gets cold, of course.
Yeah. That's what I meant.
Silver Fox ~ a second cape...how thoughtful of you! :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is gorgeous!! I have some eye shadow that exact shade, would you like to try some?
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh Betsy, I see that Silverfox is eyeing you and your lovely dress!! :)....

I was reading this as if you were actually there and it all sounded brilliant but then began to think (after seeing "virtual") that this exists in another realm. But I could be confused. Lovely either way though.
ReplyDeleteOK love your dress too - and the orient express - i remember those days!
