of the two of us together. For one thing, we're rarely home
at the same time...usually just to eat dinner and he's off
to another meeting or something work-related! So, just
before we left for a wedding Saturday night I snapped
a few of us. I think I took 8 pictures. The ones where I was
smiling, he wasn't looking at the camera! The one where
he was smiling, I look scared! haha. This was the closest
one to being half way decent. Needless to say, neither
of us are photogenic. Here we both are
with our half smiles. Sigh. But there you go!
I've been told more than once that he looks a bit
like Russell Crowe. He does, doesn't he? BTW...
this was the wedding that I made the cookies for!
They looked beautiful at each place setting at
the reception. Beautiful wedding, too!
I remember when the bride was born!
Now I'm feeling old. :)
I think it's a great picture, Betsy...you look like a character from a Jane Austen novel with your hair pulled back :) You'll really feel old when that bride you knew as a child has a child of her own!!
ReplyDeleteI think you make a great looking couple. Hope you had a great time!!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Must have been a great evening. He definitely has a touch of Russell Crowe and in this photograph you look like Sally Field, in her very early days, circa The Flying Nun.
ReplyDeletePeppermint...oh, I know! We sat with some people at the reception that knew the bride's father when he was born. Where does the time go!?
ReplyDeleteOoh, you both look beautiful !
ReplyDeleteHe does look like Russell Crowe, and you m'dear look positively stunning.
Glad you enjoyed yousrselves !
Nice photo...and he does look like Crowe....hope the wedding was fun.
ReplyDeleteI think you both look absolutely smashing!! I love your up-style Betsy..very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI disagree with you that you aren't photogenic, I think you both take a lovely photo. I also think that as handsome as Russell Crow may be, I think your husband is more handsome!!
It's a lovely picture, Betsy. You both look friendly and warm and relaxed. Very nice. x
ReplyDeleteKatherine ~ I'll tell him you said so! :)
ReplyDeleteBetsy, you two make a handsome couple. I'd put a frame around this one.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pic!!
ReplyDeleteI think you're being too hard on yourself. The picture looks great, and you, my dahling, look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI think you're both very photogenic, although I prefer the female member of any such pair, I'll admit.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've never been a big Russell Crowe fan, so I'd give The Mister an edge here!
Silver ~ thank you. I'll tell The Mister he has an edge on Crowe. :)
ReplyDeleteHe's much better looking than dodgy old Rusty Crowe. And Betsy you are too, too gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteMillie ^_^
A Jane Austen character as peppermint says? Hmm...yes, that works with your hair up like that and the wispy curls. nice1 :)
ReplyDeletenow, why would you look scared though?!! You just know those cookies were the star of the show... well, OK, after the bride and groom! :)
Glad you got to go with your old fella! :D hope you both had a BRILL time.
That's a lovely, natural photograph, Betsy. A handsome couple, indeed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo of the two of you!
ReplyDeleteTime sure does fly! I have gone through this too....seeing brides and grooms who I have changed their diapers!!! Yikes!! And now they have children of their own. Sigh!!
Definitely a full circle moment!
Hugs
SueAnn

ReplyDeleteHow was the wedding?
What a lovely photo. My other half and I take a photo on our wedding anniversary every year so we have something to remember as the years go past. It's good fun.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great time. :-)
I really appreciate it when my favorite bloggers give glimpses into their personal lives ... you gave us the perfect little peek. Quite the dashing couple, half smiles and all!
ReplyDeleteHelen ~ I feel the same way! I have a few blog friends that never post pictures...I'm always bugging them to do it! It's nice to have a face with a name, in my opinion! :)
ReplyDeleteVery lovely picture of you two precious people!!
ReplyDeleteWe rented "Robin Hood" with Russell Crow the other night, and yes, the Mister could have played the role!
Thanks for sharing the picture. I feel the same way, I love to put a face with a name.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely couple you make, even with the half smiles.
ReplyDeleteYes, he does lokk a bit of a Gladiator LOL
Great to have 'together photos' - but you know you ladies are never totally pleased with photo's of yourselves even though us men think you look stunning.
Aww, Eddie...you're being your usual sweet self, I see! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking couple! And you say you're not photogenic... pshaw.

I think you two make a very handsome couple! What's this business about not being photogenic?!
ReplyDeleteI should have taken a snap of the two of you at the reception. I was bad and only took a couple pictures the entire evening.
ReplyDeleteYou both looked wonderful.
Jill ~ a pic of you and your dad dancing would have been great...I SO enjoyed that! :)
ReplyDeleteBetsy, just as I was reading the other comments, I ran into one stating "You look just like Sally Field." Now that was what I was gonna say. You are both beautiful. Mister looks better than Crowe, I think. Blessing to a dad and mom.
ReplyDeleteQMM
