It's completely round except for a regular looking garage
attached to the side. It's completely covered in roofing shingles!
I wish they would cut their grass ..or um..weeds...so I could
get a better picture! LOL! And did you notice those windows?
All different sizes and randomly placed...they remind me
of one of these preschool toys...
I'd really like to see inside!
What an unusual house, Betsy. Quite alien-looking! I wonder... it looks as if it would be really hot inside in summer...
ReplyDeleteNice comparison between the house and the toy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very interesting, alternative architecture.;) I have seen round houses here too.;) I think you are right about the toy, they might have been inspired by it.;)

ha, I see what you mean Betsy they really do look like those puzzle boxeslol.I dont know me I like the normal homes lol.But its extremely interesting.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead!
I wonder what the family who lives there looks like
ReplyDeletenice. we have one of these nearby...i have wanted to go inside forever...i may go knock on their door today...
ReplyDeleteHow odd !
ReplyDeleteLooks somewhat like a Yurt, very energy efficient.
I'm wondering how you would ever clean those windows ...lol
Loz ~ haha...very good question!
ReplyDeleteBrian ~ oh good...you do it. Then I won't have to! I want to know if it's all open inside or has divided rooms, etc.
ReplyDeleteSo Betsy, my question is...did they MOVE IN IT or are they still living in the trailer sitting beside it? The kids call it Ugly Epcot.
ReplyDeleteUgly Epcot...oh, that's perfect!
ReplyDeleteI have a house that looks like that near my house as well. And their yard has high weeds too! Maybe they are related? Ha!
ReplyDeleteWeird

It really does look like the puzzle...too funny. I wonder what it's like living inside. How would you hang a picture on the wall? What would the closets be like? Or the kitchen?
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should stop the next time you drive past and ask if they will give you a tour....tell em Stephanie sent you!
Just read Jill's comment...ugly Epcot is a perfect name!
ReplyDeleteStevie ~ I know! So many unanswered questions. The tall weeded yard makes them seem unfriendly, so no chance at all I'd knock on the door...I'd get lost in the jungle just trying to get to it! ha.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting....I'll bet the tenants are interesting too....ha
ReplyDeleteWonder if the owners are odd shaped too. ??? I had forgotten about the puzzle box toy. My kids loved them.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they have to order special round/curved sofas and bookcases etc.?
ReplyDeleteThere is one of those here too and I have seen it inside..all round! ;D
ReplyDeleteThat house has always puzzled me too. Let me know if you ever figure anything out about it!!
ReplyDeleteThinking about all the weeds, I wonder if they're growing a special weed inside the house? :)
ReplyDeletePerfect comparison. Domes like this provide an architect with the opportunity to bust the parameters of a typical home.
ReplyDeleteJustin ~ hey...you may be on to something there! Although being odd, they are drawing more attention to themselves than if they just had a normal looking place. :)
ReplyDeleteoh me too betsy..i would give ANYTHING to see inside....
ReplyDeletegeodisic domes are indeed pretty unique
ReplyDeleteWe have a few of these Geodesic Dome Homes in our area too. I'm not sure I could get used to it, but the dogs might like to chase each other around and around and around!
ReplyDeleteWe also have a couple of these homes in our county. Very interesting.
ReplyDeletehahhaha. Ys,it DOES!!! Whoa. Maybe, Betsy, they keep their weeds long to stop people gazing in on them! :)
ReplyDeleteIs it the Tupperware toy? It brings back memories!
