It just makes you want to pick up a stone, doesn't it?
Or take the sign down and put the poor owner out
of his misery. That's a good solution! :)
Ever have something in life that makes just about
this much sense? I can think of a few!

  5. Ha Ha.... I'm so tempted to pick up a stone...

We were in Wisconsin and saw a sign ~ "Don't even think about parking here."

    The power of suggestion...!

  6. The reason behind this is obvious. The farmer, who understands human nature, knows that the sign will act as a "magnet" for stones. And since his wife just happens to own a brand-new rock-polishing machine, she will now be able to make expensive gemstone jewelry. They'll pay for the cost of the sign in mere days. Brilliant.

(And no, I can't sleep tonight. Why do you ask?)

  12. What would prompt this sign??? What is the story??

  13. Weird! What if the sign had said 'Please throw stones at this sign'? Maybe it's a way to get all the stones collected into one heap?

  16. i think the sign was erected as an experiment to see how many stones would be thrown!

    silliness for sure!

  17. Oh yes. Gotta love that sign.
I am a RULE FOLLOWER...I would NOT throw a stone...sometimes that is bad...

  18. Anyone remember an old Joe South tune called "Don't It Make You Want To Go Home?" I can't shake that song now, although in my mind, it's been changed to "Don't It Make You Want To Throw Stones!"

  20. I love those "No Loitering" signs, and all the teens hang out around them.

  21. I'm thinking about using reverse psychology like this guy must be doing and putting a sign on the dishwasher, "No dirty dishes here please", sadly, it may backfire :-)

  22. If there was no sign, there would be no need for the sign....ain't so much in life like that?

  25. Oh my gosh, that would TOTALLY make me want to throw stones at it even if I'd never wanted to before. Haha. Why would someone think that was a good idea??
