The reason behind this is obvious. The farmer, who understands human nature, knows that the sign will act as a "magnet" for stones. And since his wife just happens to own a brand-new rock-polishing machine, she will now be able to make expensive gemstone jewelry. They'll pay for the cost of the sign in mere days. Brilliant.
OMG that is just tooo funny and you are right i could invision me picking up a smooth palm size stone and throwing it right in the middle and listening to the crash.. your right again.. in i too have things in my life that make just about that much sence.. too funny.. too eye opening
Omg you are so right.. i could just invision myself picking up a smooth stone about palm size and cracking in right in the middle just to listen for the sound.. and I too have things in my life that make just about that much sence.. tooo funny..
Anyone remember an old Joe South tune called "Don't It Make You Want To Go Home?" I can't shake that song now, although in my mind, it's been changed to "Don't It Make You Want To Throw Stones!"
I'm thinking about using reverse psychology like this guy must be doing and putting a sign on the dishwasher, "No dirty dishes here please", sadly, it may backfire :-)
Oh my gosh, that would TOTALLY make me want to throw stones at it even if I'd never wanted to before. Haha. Why would someone think that was a good idea??
HA! I love that, I could use that sign today along with a few dozen stones!
ReplyDeleteLike, you can think about anything BUT a monkey, in the next twenty seconds. What did your mind see first ? :)
ReplyDeleteha. nice capture betsy...maybe if i wore it on my back?
ReplyDeleteWhy would someone put up such a silly sign? Now, kick me stuck on the back makes sense! LOL ;D
ReplyDeleteHa Ha.... I'm so tempted to pick up a stone...
ReplyDeleteWe were in Wisconsin and saw a sign ~ "Don't even think about parking here."
The power of suggestion...!

ReplyDeleteWhat would prompt this sign??? What is the story??
ReplyDeleteWeird! What if the sign had said 'Please throw stones at this sign'? Maybe it's a way to get all the stones collected into one heap?
ReplyDeletepurpleheart ~ good point! You had me thinking of that monkey!
ReplyDeleteMr. Fox ~ well now, THAT explains it! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy to be of service, milady!
ReplyDeletei think the sign was erected as an experiment to see how many stones would be thrown!
ReplyDeletesilliness for sure!
Oh yes. Gotta love that sign.
ReplyDeleteI am a RULE FOLLOWER...I would NOT throw a stone...sometimes that is bad...
Anyone remember an old Joe South tune called "Don't It Make You Want To Go Home?" I can't shake that song now, although in my mind, it's been changed to "Don't It Make You Want To Throw Stones!"
ReplyDeleteThis sign begs the question...why?
ReplyDeleteI love those "No Loitering" signs, and all the teens hang out around them.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about using reverse psychology like this guy must be doing and putting a sign on the dishwasher, "No dirty dishes here please", sadly, it may backfire :-)
ReplyDeleteIf there was no sign, there would be no need for the sign....ain't so much in life like that?
