Harry Goes Shopping

Last week, Harry took his first turn at the grocery shopping
with me. We went to Wal-mart. Harry did a great job
and he enjoyed picking out a few of his favorites... a
bag of Ruffles and three bags of suckers! No
DVDs! :) He was the slowest with the cart...not really
even pushing unless I said to. At least he wasn't
running over me or anybody else! ha. It was
actually a pleasantly uneventful trip but I thought
I'd share anyway since I did both of his brothers.
I left the sunroof open, being a hot and sunny day, only
to come out of the store to a torrential downpour!
No umbrella, slow walking boy, cart full of groceries,
soggy car seats,....ugh!
Harry was oblivious, of course, and just sat in a puddle and open his chips. I wasn't so nonchalant about it! ha.

  1. That rainy shot is starting to look very familiar isn't it? It has become a joke in our home that it rains every time I go to the grocery!

  3. He looks so innocent ;)
At least he has his priorities straight, potato chips and suckers, what more could a person want ?
Lately it has rained everytime I go to the grocery store also, isn't it annoying !
Sweet boys, and one patient mum..

  4. I like the way you take us one your shopping trips with each of your sons.
It's like getting to know them as individuals.
    Bless you Betsy!

  5. They are each so unique and special. Its wonderful to get to share their lives.
What I think has been learned here...don't leave the sunroof open because if you're shopping, its bound to rain. I love that he took it all in stride.

He has it right though...a bag of chips that is about all you need right? :)

  7. The Shopping tour with the boys has been great...they may be triplets, but they each have their only style don't they?

At least the potato chips weren't soggy!

    Nice post!

  10. I was going to write along the lines of Wanda... What's a bit a rain & a soggy seat!!! a soggy seat is definitely not important when you've got a packet of your favorite chips to devour! It's all about priorities when it comes to boys!

  13. It is kind of nice to go to the store once in a while and have it be uneventful:-) I love your stories about your boys and their shopping trips. You are a great Mom! I love how Harry is oblivious of the whole rain problem. A boy + his chips = contentment:-)

  14. Oh, rain in your new car. Not fun. But shopping with your sweet boy... fun! I love reading about your outings with them.

  15. They certainly do have different personalities! Harry will compliantly go wherever for as long as it takes. Spencer will fuss and try to be the boss, buy a lot of stuff, and run off on his own! Alex will actually be interested in helping pick out what's on the list, but will grab food from a stranger's hand! Yikes. I know who I can relax with and who I have to watch like a hawk...and how long we can stay out.

  17. Harry just might have the right idea about like,
maybe we should ALL calm down, sit in a puddle and eat some chips. Sounds like a good idea to me anyway. :)
