“That would be cool if you could eat a good food with a bad food and the good food would cover for the bad food when it got to your stomach. Like you could eat a carrot with an onion ring and they would travel down to your stomach, then they would get there, and the carrot would say, It's cool, he's with me.”
Mitch Hedberg (American Comedian, 1968-2005)
that way i would have an excuse to eat bad. smile. hope you had a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteBrian ~ that would be so much more fun that the treadmill! ha. Hope your fam is back safe and sound! :)
ReplyDeleteyay, if only! then the orange juice I drank yesterday would cancel out those doughnuts from the bakery.
ReplyDeleteI've cooked a lot of carrots and I don't think I've ever seen a double on. Hope it is "lucky" for you
Rhonda ~ LOL..perfect...oj and donuts!
ReplyDeleteLOL..thats funny! Well, I do that, I mix cranberry juice with my diet Pepsi...so see, it's healthy! Come say hi :D
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me!
ReplyDeletehahaha! too funny.
ReplyDeleteis wine good or bad? just wondering cuz I need to know if I need to eat a salad with it, or if dessert is okay...
:)
Bambi ~ I'd say it's definitely good!
ReplyDeleteWell they say carrots are good for your eyes but I'm seeing double vision! ha ha
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a double carrot -- cool! Betsy, you always seem to find the strangest fruits and veggies.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean... like when you go to a cafe and order a skinny cappuccino & sweeten it with sweetener then order yourself a piece of new york baked cheesecake...we all know that the skinny cap & the sweetener negate the cheesecake...Don't they???? tee!hee!hee!
ReplyDeleteAs for the carrot...I reckon anything that comes in double has gotta be good luck!
I don't think I've ever had one of those carrots, but I guess when you buy baby carrots in a bag it's a little harder to find!
ReplyDeleteThen I suppose your last two posts (carrots and tomatoes) balance out two of the sugary desserts for which you've given us recipes in the past! I like the way you think!
ReplyDeleteAh, that is a great quote and my sentiments exactly.;)
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the luck of a double carrot, but I guess we make our won luck, so why not.;))
xoxo
I love carrots, Ive never seen a double one though, lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Betsy!
love the double carrot, bet you got the one in a million/ha
ReplyDeletei love carrots...but I agree with the quote !! your blooming shamrock is so pretty up above!!
ReplyDeleteSo the banana I ate would definitely cancel out the double chocolate chip cookies?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah...you are ON to something!
Like, a banana would cancel out the effects of my Snicker's bar? Sounds good to me?
ReplyDeleteKatherine ~ haha! That reminds me of a girl in my dorm at college..she always ate a box of doughnuts with a diet coke.
ReplyDeleteCool carrot! I've seen a double yoke egg, but never a double carrot.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a positive taking away the negative.
BTW...I really like your Audrey Hepburn quote and picture. She is a fascinating lady.
Be nice if a spoon full of green beans wiped out a bag of doritos! LOL!
ReplyDeleteCat ~ I get double carrots in my garden all the time. It has nothing to do with luck...just planting the seeds too close together! :)
ReplyDeleteYou find the coolest phenomenons.
ReplyDeleteintriguing concept. i never heard of mitch, so just looked him up - i think he could have benefited from eating more carrots and maybe even onion rings and dabbling less in the things that ended up killing him.
ReplyDeleteah, poor mitch - he could have used some of those double carrots!
Mutant carrots. Hmmm. No idea, sorry to say. I would avoid it though but then again, I avoid a lot of carrots, even carrot cake for the most part.
