This is National Administrative Professional's Week!
Some local secretaries are munching on my cookies.
If you have a secretary...don't forget her!
Since I'm the boss, secretary, and...well, custodian
too, in my little home-based business,
I gave myself all the left overs! LOL!
I think the chocolate-peanut-butter-cup cookies
could be my new favorite. Recipe to come soon!
i will gladly file your mail for you for a cookie...smiles.
ReplyDeletethat was not meant to be a slight at the wonderful people who really run corporations and businesses...it usually is not the boss but the ones that hold them together...only my attempt to get a cookie...so really...
ReplyDeleteLOL ~ no, I got it. :) You can have one of each for that great point! :)
ReplyDeleteYummy looking cookies...this is something I have always dreamed of doing. How long have you been baking cookies & running your business at home? Have you any tips for me?
ReplyDeleteI have a son with a disability & I work 15 hrs a week supporting people with disabilities our in the community. My son has a mild intellectual disability but is finding it difficult to find suitable work but desperately wants to work. This is something that I have been thinking of doing for a long time because it is something that he can help me do.
Katherine ~ absolutely! And I know all about sons with disabilities. :) I'll email you.
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly Betsy! Much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteI was treated today at work, since I am an Administrative Assistant. They took me to lunch and my boss gave me yellow roses...my favotite. Happy AP day to all!
ReplyDeleteYou are the best cookie baker I know! Can't wait for the recipe! :D

ReplyDeleteYou are such an inspiration!

ReplyDeleteThey sound GREAT! We be waiting for the recipe. Wish we were closer and I would tell my workplace about your home business for the different things we have!
ReplyDeleteALL of them yum!
ReplyDeleteI love the addition of cherry to the pecan...that is something I need RIGHT NOW with my morning coffee!
I don't have a secretary either but those cookies sure look good.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you packaged the cookies, makes them all that more special! Very thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is molasses and my mom makes some of the best. I'm betting your come in pretty close... I have a few awaiting a ride to Minnesota but they don't appear to be going anywhere fast.
ReplyDelete(email me. I want to ask you about autism... Poet_tree at Juno)

ReplyDeleteI'll bet they are enjoying your cookies with coffee!!! Yum!
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy...I don't think I have ever told you, but I used to work for The Mister during his days at the ville. I remember one Administrative Professional's Day that he gave me the day off! I was so excited. He was the BEST boss...he always left thank you notes after we worked on a big project. I have so many fond memories, but I was recently thinking about that day off he gave me and what an impact it had on me! :) Blessings, Lori
ReplyDeleteLori! Well, I didn't know that you were that Lori! How exciting. I'll have to tell The Mister and show him your blog. Someone else was just telling me this morning what a wonderful boss he is...awww...
ReplyDeletethe CEO always gets the leftovers..best part!
ReplyDeleteHome Based Business. I like that sound. Patty and I did it for many years. It was a good life. Made lots of money. I have often wondered what it would be like today with computers and the Internet and email and things like online stores?
ReplyDeleteLadyCat ~ lunch and a yellow rose...wow...you can't beat that! The Mister gave his ladies tulips, too. :)
ReplyDeletesweet and yummy,
ReplyDeleteyou make people feel invited and welcome!
Happy Earth Day!
Gee, are you going to send any to Simpson/Lynch Studios so Vickie Wickie and Carla can have some?
ReplyDeleteMr. Fox ~ I'm sure they would appreciate that...but their bosses would have to place an order!
ReplyDeleteWell, luckily, the Foxster can eat any leftovers... since, unlike myself, he's not diabetic... and he says you can really cook! I mean, bake. Or both. Or something.
ReplyDeleteAbe ~ you and Patty did do a great business...and way before all the electronic conveniencs, huh!
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look amazing. I will be watching for a recipe. Yum.
