His and Hers

Here's one way we keep petty quarrels out of our
marriage....separate toothpaste tubes!
He can squeeze from the middle all he wants
and it doesn't bother me!

  2. Betsy, you are very smart!

I solved our problem by putting a chip clip on the bottom of the toothpaste ~~ then it always get's squeezed from the bottom.

But then you have different kinds of toothpaste... Don has to use what I buy...(He's never complained, so I guess it's OK!)

  5. Wanda ~ Don's a good man! :) A chip clip...now that's a good idea!

  6. We both squeeze from the bottom, although we each have our favorite brand of seperate toothpaste. They even sell things to put on the tube and it ensures you squeeze from the bottom!

  9. We do that too! Everyone in the family has their own tube. It not only promotes peace, but I am convinced it is far more hygienic!

  12. Oh it drives me crazy when the middle of the tube is smooshed. I am careful to get everything from the bottom & then roll the tube up as I use it.

  13. Oh how funny, Betsy... AND SO true!!!!! I have 'trained' my hubby --because we have a clamp that we use at the bottom of the toothpaste--and we use that clamp to roll the tube up as it gets empty... He is doing pretty good with that clamp now!!!!! ha

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  14. LadyCat ~ I don't like it rolled up...that drives me crazy! haha. Now...is Bach the same way? Ah...but you're still in the honeymoon of your marriage...it wouldn't bother you yet if he wasn't! haha.

  15. Funny! I've been thinking lately how much I like the fact that I get to make all the decisions for my household of one. Being in complete control of the TV remote is a plus. Of course there is a down side as well...but I won't go into that. I'm just going to celebrate the control.

  16. In the days of metal toothpaste tube, back when I was very small, it mattered more where the tube was squeezed. What I can't figure out how to fix is the traveling toothpaste trouble. How (or why) must it always end up downstairs? Maybe I need to put it on a chain like the bank does with pens.

  17. Martha ~ I laughed out loud at that! Hey...I need one of those bank chains on our nail clipper!

  18. Ha! So funny. I really liked the dispenser that sits on the counter, but I don't think they make them anymore!

  22. Good way to solve a common problem when sharing something as personal as toothpaste!

  23. In my house there's only me - but I get mad at the way I squeeze the tube in the middle!

  24. Sometimes I just grab his toothpaste and squeeze it all to the top/ha

  25. Nanny ~ haha...no, you are more patient than me...I'm not going to manage his tube! ha.

  26. My problem lately is that Hubby screws the lid on so tight that I can't get it off without using the towel as a grip around it. They don't make our brand with a flip lid either. :(

  27. We don't all do that. Some men know just where to squeeze.

  28. Great idea! Might have to try that.

  35. My husband has told me many times that if we had to share a sink we'd be divorced. Apparently I leave my hair all over it and it grosses him out. I don't see why tho, I also leave it all over the shower, the tub, the bathroom floor, the bed, the closet, my clothes...

but yeah, we also have separate toothpaste tubes. That middle squeeze thing bugs the hell outta me!
