Tea = Muse

Tea does our fancy aid,
Repress those vapours which the head invade
And keeps that palace of the soul serene.
~Edmund Waller, "Of Tea"

This is my entry for Mr. Toast's Creative

Pop on over to his blog to see other
entries...always a wonderful variety
of talent and imagination!

  8. Wow, omgosh...this is so cldver and brilliant. I Love it and how you added "Muse" to the steam; the way the steam is drawn, and the even the tea bag torn. your quotes perfectly tie in the theme of muse too. As Bach would say, "you are too cool!" ..nd there you are saying you can't draw!

    now, the onyl thing is, I'm thinking, "why didn't I think of this?" LOL. Mmm...Lady Earl Grey...a very good tea indeed for voyages of relaxation and muse. Ahhh.

  9. Love th einside of this cup too and how the back plane of the table intersects it barely, giving a nice break in the line.

  34. Muses take many forms, some more tangible than others. I wonder if there is an actual, "official" poetic form of what I in my relative ignorance of poetry call a "backwards acrostic?" If not, there is now!
