So, Betsy, I popped in for a visit since you left a note on my blog, and I found a veritable potpurri of beautiful things. I see some friends of mine here too. What a invention this blog stuff is! Will you write about some simple blessings on behalf of Haiti on Sunday? Let me know. I'll come back if you do. I liked what I saw here. You made me smile! Much love in your home. Chris from Enchanted Oak
I've been hearing all weekend from my friends in Cincy about all of their snow:) But I have a friend in Leesburg, VA whose area got 34.5 inches of snow! Now that's just crazy...LOL
Great shots, Betsy, especially the ones of the Cardinal. Mom heard D.C. got 3 feet of snow! I've yet to check that. Looks like you got about 6 inches here?
Good thing 'tis on a Sunday...just cuddle up and stay warm :)
I read, here in the UK, that there had been considerable snowfall across the water. No doubt it looks pretty, but if it's anything like the spell we had recently, I'm sure you'll be glad to see it gone!
We only have about 4" outside. I also love to just stay in and look out. Yesterday a.m. I did go walking about 7 and took some pictures before it got all tracked up. They are saying Monday into Tues. we could get 5" on up. I brought groceries yesterday.
You surely have captured the moment. Sometimes beautiful snow as you have here fades so quickly if you turn away. I love your cardinal. I have a little statue of a cardinal and his name is Carl. :) The Bach
You have a beautiful view. I really like the contrast of the bright red cardinal in the middle of all that white. Cardinals are one of nature's true beauties. I have seen a cardinal hanging around our back yard, too. But it wasn't Carl...he stays inside : )
I love that little splotch of red amidst those snow-covered branches! I swivel around, and look through the large window behind me. Gazing upon snowless, yellow ochre grass, under cloudy skies and 52° Alabama temperatures, I can only remember what snow once looked like. I am so glad there are people like yourself in the world that help me remember. ;) Great pictures!
How pretty! I took photos similar to that a few years back when our maple tree was laden with little piles of puffy snow. No clean, new snow here. It all fell in Washington DC instead.
Well, as already noted, these are fantastic photos and yes, that cardinal is amzing. OK, gon on, cofess--it's stuffed right? Adn you simply jsut stuck it up there! Hee. How inspiring though.
good luck with the Superbowl--be sure to have those 15 perfectly able young men do all the clean up and dishes after you've been gracious enough to feed everyone and do the hosting, as well as take care of the rest of your fam. Just tell them you are helping them be reponsible, great husbands one day!
LOL, Betsy! I'm gonna have to stop e-mailing you stuff, or I'm going to have to start referencing "My Five Men" as one of my blogsites! ;) Glad you enjoyed the pix! Stay warm!
Oh my, that is lovely! But -8 degrees is not lovely! Ha ha I lurve your cookie banner, so cute! The red robin (?) looks so beautiful there among the snow coveted branches.
Lovely pictures! A lot like my view. It just started snow storm #2. Expecting anywhere from 10 - 24 inches of snow depending on which channel you watch.
Now that is a SNOW.... Our little piddly snows don't look like yours at all. I love snow and would love to see a BIG one someday!!!!
ReplyDeleteOf course, I don't want to have to drive in it --or even shovel the driveway and walk. I just want to ENJOY it..
Thanks for such gorgeous pictures. Stay SAFE..
Hugs,
Betsy
