oh my. you all got hit with some snow! we got another inch today...just enough to really mess the roads up and get them a delay in the morning...have fun in it!
THAT is a LOT of snow !! We didn't get all the fluffy stuff, mostly ice, and a powdering. Love the birds begging for more seed, they know where to find you ;)
Brit in TN~ my birds are so funny! They know my voice and come when I open the window and call them. And when they are out of seed, they look in the window for me! ha!
Blondie ~ I do love it! It's great as long as you have the refrigerator full and nobody has to go anywhere! :) Stay warm...hey, you can stay in your jammies all day! ;)
WOWZA....that is some snow you have there!!! First, I would love to see those birds...so pretty, I have never seen a red cardinal! Second, I hope those big guys of yours are good at shoveling snow cause you have plenty to go around! Thats more than we got all winter long! It is really beautiful...bet you'll be glad for spring though..hang on! Come say hi :D
Thank you for reading my thoughts made public. I have a grandson that is autistic and pray every day that his mind may possibly be unlocked as mine was. "Hope" is my favorite word.
Great pictures.....after a week our snow has finally all melted....but the birds are still here, with more coming everyday...another 20 lbs of sunflower seed gone...
I just do not remember WHEN we have had SO MUCH snow Betsy! Our Cardinal's are doing the SAME thing...almost peeking in the french doors asking for more seed. We are enjoying watching them SO MUCH. Your photos are beautiful.
My birds sit and wait, wondering if I have something new to eat. They seem to shelter together and the snow flies but they say they are their most hungry and in need when it is snowing. Warm up the grill, burgers would taste great right now.
AmyLK ~ wow, that's a lot of snow! I think we have 18-20"...and more coming on Friday! Hopefully we will have school tomorrow...I'm ready for the boys to go!
After seeing your beautiful cardinal photos, I went to the store, bought suet and seeds. Now to sit in the window and wait for them to come! I love the picture of the patio furniture in the snow. Isn't sometimes hard to believe that we will be able to sit outside and actually be hot?
Anita ~ oh, how fun! If you're putting bird seed out for the first time, it helps to tie a red string or ribbon to the feeder to attract the birds! Now...how do I attract deer like you have!? LOL!
Wow! Look at all that snow! Your birdbath is buried and your table looks like a Popsicle. Love the cardinals at your window.

I think those cardinals are organising something...
ReplyDeleteAnd we're due to get hit sometime after midnight (making sure I take boots to work, heh... )
We have just a trace of snow. Guess Lake Ontario is not in the mood for producing lake effect for us this year.

ReplyDeleteMartha ~ it's amazing that we have more snow than New York!
ReplyDeleteYour patio table looks like a giant cake. Don't you love it? (As long as you don't have to drive in tons of it).
ReplyDeleteWe are having more right now. It never ends! Love the verse.

That last picture about says it all! Good luck with the thaw.
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of snow, but the first picture's caption totally cracked me up!
ReplyDeleteWow! Look at all that snow. If I were a bird I'd be waiting in a bush with a window view for a certain thoughtful bird lady!
ReplyDeleteAll your snow and bird pictures have been stunning. And these cardinals are amazing! I'd love to be sitting behind your window watching them. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures.....after a week our snow has finally all melted....but the birds are still here, with more coming everyday...another 20 lbs of sunflower seed gone...

ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful.
The snow photos are lovely ~ as long as you can look at them from the inside and not have to go out it that freezing cold.

ReplyDeleteThe gathering of the Cardinals... sounds rather priestly.. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post.... my lands you did get snow! Stay warm! The Bach
We are still getting snow today. Its only supposed to be an inch or two but its on top of 25+. Old Man Winter needs to take a break on the East Coast.
ReplyDeleteWhat incredible photos adn all thse cardinals. Whoa. Love it.Lovely words too.
ReplyDeleteLove that picture, Betsy, of the Cardinals in the snow. They are so pretty... You do have tons of snow, don't you??? We have about 8 inches here.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
After last Friday, I SWEAR never to brag on how we "never get snow in Alabama" again! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the cardinals too...such beautiful color. We gauge the snow by the depth on our birdbath. It looks like a snow cone right now : )
