I'm not in to pumpkin pie much but pecan? Mmm... I really love Razzleberry pie this time of year (raspberry and blackberry--it looks so festive.) Then I do like chocolate-, banana-, or coconut-cream pies too. Well, then there is lemon meringue when home made. And, of course, let not forget....
I can just imagine how good your kitchen will smell. Just think , you are going to smell like a pie yourself by days' end!! LOL.
Mmmm ...mmm....mmm... that looks delicious. I don't suppose there will be any left over? Mrs C recently made a Dutch apple pie for a family get-together, which was very nice. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your fellas.
You are baking up a storm Betsy! I bet your home smells delicious right now.
Let's see, favorite pie? Apple, Black Raspberry, Blackberry, Peach, Lemon Chess, Peanut Butter, Chocolate......most any pie is a friend of mine LOL! If we are talking about a pie that is served at a restaurant or bakery, the Apple Barn's Apple Cranberry Pie. Yum-o! That pie is so good that Rick and I finish it off in 1-2 days :)
Dear Betsy, Thinking about you today and visualizing all of that effort in the kitchen! I love pecan pie, though it doesn't love me if I eat too much of it. I have pumpkin chiffon pies in our fridge and I am making a pumpkin dump cake too. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your precious family!
Helen ~ I hope you are visualizing me covered in flour and the boys hopping around the kitchen...ha-ha....not a picture perfect site, but happy and fun anyway! ha!
Pumpkin pie for breakfast is a personal favorite of mine. I'll bake a pie after work tomorrow and another in the morning. One pumpkin and one pecan. I also like lemon pie. I've never made one of those though.
Pumpkin is my favorite for Thanksgiving. But my favorite in general is peach. We are having yummy noodles, too. It will be my first time to try the favorite family recipe! And I like your new picture on your sidebar!
Cat ~ peach pie...great minds think alike! :) I blogged about the family noodles last thanksgiving. You could click on family traditions and find it if you want! :)
I made it back! ha ha Taking a breather to stop by and wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! Lurve the picture of your pecan pie! I've got Apple/Blackberry/Sour Cream and the other is a traditional Apple pie in the oven.
Let's see( after I stop drooling! )We're having sweet potatoe pie to-morrow( and have a few more in the freezer for X-mas; gotta have pecan and mince-meat ). That pie won't last long in your home, Betsy! Enjoy the hols and God bless :)
Pumpkin and Peacan for the holidays here...However, I've rarely met a pie or a cobbler that I don't like..As for the Razzleberry pie, mentioned by MMM...I've heard it mentioned on a cartoon...Mr. McGoo's "A Christmas Carol" as a matter of fact, but had no idea what was in it...Sounds wonderful:)....
RxB ~ number 6? Wow...you're a pro by now! LOL! I won't be seeing Willow..we get together at Christmas but not Thanksgiving. Hope yours is a good one! :)
I've never made a pecan pie... is it difficult? I have to tell you tho that I make an a-w-e-s-o-m-e pumpkin cheesecake. Really. I'm not making it this year tho cuz it's ashley's birthday and we already have pumpkin pie, apple pie, and birthday cake. But I'll probably make it for Christmas.
RxBambi ~ pecan pie is not difficult...very easy...just stir the stuff together and pour it in the shell. I'd love to have your cheesecake recipe....sounds awesome!
We love pumpkin and I know Hubby and I enjoy pecan. Pecan is actually one of Hubby's favorite pies. I haven't made it since I helped my grandma probably 15 or more years ago, and I ended up getting them a little runny. Not bad, but enough to bother me. I haven't ever tried one on my own. I think I need to try though. Maybe for Christmas or at least by next Thanksgiving.
pumpkin for sure...happiest of Thanksgiving to you and your 5 men
