lol. used potters clay to make things with the boys yesterday...you should have seen the kitchen...their bodies...the floor...the color of the water in the tub afterward...lol. making messes is such fun.
Well at least it looks like you were using it. A clean kitchen usually doesn't have the best smells. Something baking in the oven is always the best. Hugs, Marty
You are sending me to bed with a smile on my face. Now I want to know what you made. If you say "cinnamon rolls" I'm going to be jealous. Tomorrow I have to make bread.
Lynne ~ well, I made 7 dozen chewy ginger cookies! There's a picture on my sidebar. Yes, the house smelled wonderful! And clean-up wasn't too bad...at least it wasn't sticky! ha!
Now that is what I need, a big old mixer like that. I brought back a bucket of lard from Georgia and I plan to try to make some good ole Southern Bisquits, I have a Kentucky receipe for beaten bisquits. I think it calls for beat time of 15 minutes. Wow! Think of that! They serve these every inaugeral (sp) breakfast for the new Kentucky govenor. I tried to beat up a frosting with creme cheese for this great angle food cake with lemon filling, but I burnt up my 6 dollar mixer in the process and then the cake layers slid sideways. I never did take it to the church! Love USTEVE
Hahha. Have to laugh. Reminds me of time my wife and I had a friend over for tea and I proceeded tomake my renowned lemon shortbread. I forgot soe of the water so it was way too dry. Ended up covering the kitchen and dining area with flour adn myself to boot. Neverthelss, amaxingly so, the shortbread was incredible anyway.
Oh adn yes...those cookies DO indeed look incredible. What a great treat to enjoy at XMAS too. Mmm... Father Christmas would no doubt love those too with a cup of milk.
Steve ~ my sweet uncle! You have made my day commenting on my blog! Those biscuits sound wonderful but you better have a good quality mixer if you are going to beat something for 15 minutes! LOL! Let me know how they turn out! xxoo
