Sweet Words of Encouragement

This sheet of paper came home in Alex's book bag last week.
The kids in the 8th grade class all wrote little messages to him.
They were all so thoughtful and kind.
Some of my favorite were~~
  • you're always smiling
  • you have improved so much
  • you teach people not to quit
  • you help me learn to be compassionate to others not like me
  • you have sweet headphone things

Isn't that just the cutest?

  1. How thoughtful. Everyone benefits from edifying words... those who give them and receive them!

  2. What sweet teenagers! I almost only expect kids at that age to be cruel and not so supportive and caring! That show what I know... nothing! Thank Goodness!

  3. Wow! How wonderful! What a caring group of students! And what a great person your son must be to be the recipient of these remarks!! :-) It's encouraging to me as a former teacher to see that the world hasn't changed that much!! ...Debbie

  8. Ah, this makes me believe in the young people again; they are kind and considerate. Caring about others is one of the most important traits in a human being; how lovely your son is surrounded by so much love and affection.;)

  9. Positive and encouraging words are always blessed. They always bring forth fruit to all parties envolved. I loved this.

  10. My High school DECA class did this as an exercise. Everyone wrote something about each person in the class and then we each got all these anonymous notes. They are still one of my most treasured keepsakes. It was great encouragement, in High school it wouldn't be cool to tell someone what you admire about them, and a great exercise for me to see and to speak the best about people. I'd say it was one of the most valuable lessons I ever learned in school.

Thanks for letting me know that the print is Marjolean Bastine. Someone else also thought so and gave me a link to her site.
