Everything went smoothly and the time flew by.
Of course, I usually tease him, since he works 6 days
a week in addition to 2-3 evenings, that a trip
won't really seem different at all. (ha-ha!)
But in all seriousness, it's good to have him back.
And I'm proud to say that while he was gone,
I could actually get in our
eyes in the shower! Yes, I must finally be growing up.
(or I was too tired to be scared of anything!)
Welcome home, Mister...you can take charge
again. Shhh..we all know Mom is really in charge
but I like to let The Mister at least think he is! :)

ReplyDeleteIt's a peaceful, safe feeling when the men return home. {I sleep with a very large stick next to my bed when the professor is away.}
ReplyDeleteYou know, if I haven't lived on a military installation, I've had a home alarm system, so I guess that helps me not feel like I have to check under the bed and all. Good thing as much as my hubby traveled in the past. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Mister sure works a rough schedule, Betsy! I'm sure you're still very glad to have him back in town though...there's something comforting about that.
I'm glad your honey is back. I always appreciate your sweet comments on my blog.
ReplyDeleteSo glad all is right with the world again! I don't sleep well either when I am the only adult around.
ReplyDeleteAh, how nice that he is back, it is amazing how we can get used to having them around, right?;))
ReplyDeleteYou know I used to look under my bed for years; I think I stopped just a couple of years ago. I guess that means that I am officially old now.;))
now the world is right! not the same without them in the "nest"
ReplyDeleteBets, I know those feelings so well. (I think I'm just about ready to be able to sleep with my foot outside the blanket.)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the Mister. I'm sure it feels so good to him to be back at home with you as well.
A big welcome home to THE Mister!
ReplyDeleteHmm, I don't look under the bed....ever. Maybe I should be when mine's gone????? Naaaah! I do close ALL the blinds, however, and keep ALL the lights on (almost). But don't tell mine that....he's cheap! (in a good way)
ReplyDeleteGlad he's home safe, and glad to hear I'm not the only one who looks under the bed when the husband is away. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! My husband travels and works a lot and it's always glad to have him home, even though it often feels like we never see each other. Let me know how closing your eyes in the shower works out for you - I have a history of being quite the sisscat myself :)
ReplyDeleteFragilemom ~ I used to sleep with several light on in the house, too. But the last few times I've been able to turn them all off.
ReplyDeleteAmy ~ I dont' think I could sleep wtih my foot out of the blankets!
Margo ~ Well, I managed to wash and rinse my face in the shower, but I will admit that I did it really, really fast! tee-hee!
My Mister is firmly in charge, and I'm very grateful! I can't stand for him to be gone, but he hardly ever is, so that's alright.
