Each one is unique and has a beauty all it's own.
While we are covered in snow and shivering in the cold
temperatures, however, I found myself thinking that
it's been quite a while since I had tan lines from my flip flops!
Spring will be here soon enough! I'm going to enjoy the
way the sun is sparkling on the icy branches for now.
That, and the convenience of not having to keep up
the pedicures!
And you thought this was a flower in the tiny picture of your
blogroll, didn't you! LOL.

Yes I thought it was a flower,,,,how funny,,,what a cute picture!!! Can't wait until spring. My time of the year!
ReplyDeleteoh, i can hardly wait to be wearing my sandals again!!! i am such a barefoot or sandal girl! at least it got uo to 45 degrees today. it was really quite nice out!
ReplyDeletetake care,my friend!
At first glance I did think it was a flower!
ReplyDeleteOne thing I miss about living in Ohio is how vivid each of the seasons are... spring is SO green, fall is brilliant, winter is snowy, summer is hot but not too hot. Our seasons here in the deep south are not quite so defined.
Betsy, I love the change of seasons too. It was glorious to spend a couple weeks in Florida recently, but I do enjoy the snow, the quiet, white blanket engulfing the city and the icy limbs (the ones on trees, not mine!).
ReplyDeleteI so ready for spring! Unfortunately, here in cold Scandinavia, it is more like 10 weeks before spring arrives.;))
ReplyDeleteI love the picture.;)
By the way, I gave you an award at my place, I would be honored if you accepted it.;))
I totally thought that it was a flower! That is darling!
ReplyDeleteThe image looked just like a coneflower!>>>LOL!! Too funny...
ReplyDeleteOnly 6 more weeks, YIPPEE!!!...I love seasons, too. Lately, I long for my spring garden....
Six more weeks till spring? Not in my neck of the woods! We're still in the very thick of winter and will be for two more months. And even in April, it is mostly cold days. But, I don't mind! Lately I've been so grateful for the extreme cold and snow; because it drives all the crazy people indoors!
ReplyDeleteBetsy I love your new banner. "My Five Men....and two little birds!" So cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!! I have to admit that I love the winter, cosy evenings and all that but I'm looking forward to some warmer weather now. Our heating bill was astronomical last week!!

LOL, yes at first I thought it was some sort of flower, looked a little like a sunflower, except it looked pink. Now I see what it is. I haven't had tan lines for a long time, I wear anklets even in the summer, with my comfortable shoes.
ReplyDeletethat's a great picture! I love to go barefoot or in sandals. I do miss autumn, spring, and even summer in Indiana... Just not winter.
ReplyDeletePretty new Fisher look! :) I love the winter and don't mind six more weeks.
ReplyDeletethe lady in your banner is a gem! I thought they were all your "men" until I read to the bottom!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun pic, Betsy! Yes, about this time of year I start to long for Spring. I love all four seasons though and couldn't imagine living where there weren't many seasonal changes.
ReplyDeleteI MOST CERTAINLY DID think that was a flower! How fun is that photo??
ReplyDeleteThe sun was glorious today wasn't it?? Hmmmm, I have heard mumblings of more snow though...spring WILL come eventually!
Gotta love the sandal tan line. Luckily for us floridians, we can wear sandals all year round. But I did endure the snow and bitter cold for the first 27 years of my life, so I can empathize. Here's to a month and a half before spring!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat photo! You have a great perspective on winter - I have been thinking, I'm getting tired of the whole winter thing. I can see why people often move to more temperate climes ... I was sorry that Punxatawney (sp?) Phil saw his shadow yesterday!
ReplyDeleteSusan
It did look like a flower on my dashboard. How funny! Hubby is the one who gets the worst sandal tan lines at our house. I'm smart enough to slip mine off at ball games so I don't get strap marks.
ReplyDeleteOh, but in case I do get them, they are much better than the farmer's tan sock lines...
ReplyDeleteKayren ~ me, too...I try to slip mine off...especially when some of my sandals and flipflops create different lines. Yes, the farmer sock line...my boys all get those...tan legs and white feet! Looks hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I did think this photo was a flower at first glance!
ReplyDeleteI actually like winter as it is so much easier to dress in warm clothes and drink eat warm foods than the other way around in summer. I just wish the days were longer with more sunlight!
