Metamorphasis Monday = Kitchen Pantry

I'm almost too embarrassed to show this, but the
end result is so wonderful! I was going to clean out
the kitchen pantry today...remove everything and
wipe it out. But after everything was removed, it
was obvious that 20 years had taken it's toll!
The marked up walls, worn out shelf paper....yuck!
I washed the carpet scrap in the washer and rummaged in
my left over paint cans and found a nice
blue-gray for the walls and white for the shelves.
Ahhhhh....every inch of my house needs this
kind of attention! At least this fun little project
only took the morning!

  3. Wow...that looks awesomee! What a change...and good for you for remembering to take pictures to share with us! :-) Wish my pantry looked like this! When I moved into my house, we had the walls painted but never did the closets since they were full of stuff. I'd hate for someone to see in my closets. Maybe I'll pick a closet and do this sometime. If I do one at the time...it won't be some overwhelming. Thanks for the inspiration. You HAVE got to post this for a Met Monday...it's perfect! Met Monday starts on January 19th...you can link to this post. I'm going to use Mr. Linky and it will be easy for you to link directly to this post. :-) Susan

  5. Hi Betsy, I will create a post that will go up early Sunday morning on January 18th. So anytime after that you can just go to my blog and add the direct link to your post, into the little Mr. Linky box that will be there. To get your "permalink" or the link that goes directly to this post, and not just your blog in general...you just right click on the title of this post and select "copy shortcut" and then paste that into the Mr. Linky box that will be available all day Sunday and Monday on my blog. I think a good many folks are going to participate so I'd add your link early on Sunday morning as you can...just to be toward the head of the list of folks participating. Next Monday, I will do a post explaining this all again. A lot of folks have used and are familiar with Mr. Linky, but some have not. It's really easy to use. This will be a great Before and After! :-) Susan

  6. Beautiful! isn't it amazing how much a little cleaning can cheer you up and change the look of the house! My hubby cleaned off the table in the office - it was supposed to be a work table but it had gotten piled high - and I can't believe how much more productive and less discouraged, house-keeping wise, I feel now!

  12. Looks great. If you're like me, when I get an area that looks so good, for about a week, I keep going and opening the door to take another look. And admire it. LOL Because I know it won't last long.

  35. So much for a 20 minute project, huh? It looks fantastic!

And I just had to commend you....I've got 4 boys too (and a daughter), none of them triplets (although I did have four children in 5 years-then a straggler two years later), but my 10 year old does have severe autism. I. CAN'T. IMAGINE. having triplets with special needs. There's a special place in heaven for you (and hopefully it's QUIET and CLEAN there, two things I love but rarely get to experience) haha
