A Facelift

I'm spending the next few days giving our master bath a
facelift. The 20 year old striped wallpaper with floral
border is screaming 1980's to me! Besides, with the
steamy showers, it is almost falling off all by itself!
This Carl Larsson painting reminds me of
our current project...except it's just me
working in there!

  1. Oh, be sure to take some before and after photos. And, when you finish you can come to my house and work on our master bathroom... the professor is much to busy to peel the wallpaper in there right now!

    Love, love, love Carl Larsson!

  2. MG ~ I did take a picture before I started. Our bath is divided up with the shower and toilet area closed off with a pocket door. This is the area I'm doing first. The second phase will be the sink area with the closet. I'm sure once the first phase is done I won't be able to wait for the next part! ha-ha! And...you will be especially happy to know I'm painting it GRAY! :)

  4. Can't wait to see the before/after pics!! Isn't is such a great feeling to get old wallpaper down?

  5. Hi! Just out and about in blog land and saw your blog title and immediately thought "bless her heart"! Any girl with five men definately needs "girlfriends"!! I have 3 men and two ladies, but now it's just me, one man and our youngest lady (our Boston Terrier, Wicket). Our newest little lady will be making her grand entrance any time now as my daughter is in the hospital getting ready to help her make that entrance into this great big world. We can hardly wait! Yes, I see your banana man and I love the redecorating picture. So cute. I haven't been blogging very long so please stop by and visit me sometime. I'll definitly be visiting you again.

  14. How's the paper hanging going? Do you make a huge mess like I do, just getting it all cut and laid out? Have fun. Can't wait to see the pictures.

  16. Nanny ~ no, I'm only stripping the wallpaper..not nearly as fun as hanging it! I'm going to paint this time!

  17. Oh, I do hope we get to see the finished product. I'm not brave enough to take on a project like that by myself.

  19. Goodness...I can relate to this...We just finished our daughter's room and have now moved on to the upstairs bathroom which is on hold while we're waiting to get our reproduction shower fixtures. We have an old clawfoot tub and are converting it into a shower along with stripping wall paper and repainting...
