ReplyDeletehope, peace, love and joy during 2009!
Happy New Year to you as well!!! If I eat too much of this carmel corn I guess that wouldn't help my resolutions, huh? :( LOL.
ReplyDeleteI want some! Why oh why does popcorn give me a stomach ache?! Grrrrr.
ReplyDeleteAfter just having had a shake, I think I am done for for sugar in quite a while. Otherwise, this would seem more appealing. I think I was a down home , simple carrot to much tomorrow! :)
ReplyDeleteI love carmel corn. I went to the movie tonight and had a bag of movie popcorn for supper. Mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is looking beautiful. It is so inviting.
Yum! It's one of my favorite holiday treats as well!
ReplyDeleteYum!
ReplyDeletelooks yummy! I just popped corn last night and have so much left as Noah will not eat any.....maybe I can try this!
ReplyDeleteLooks good but I've got to swear off the sweets for a while (too much baking between Thanksgiving and Christmas!).

Oh... boy. Oh boy. Oh boy oh boy oh boy.
ReplyDeleteI turned on my computer, and the smell of carmel corn wafted over from your place! I love the recipe - it fits with all of my New Years resolutions: 2 cups butter - check, 2 cups sugar - check - 6, count 'em SIX quarts popcorn. Hand that bowl over here, please!
ReplyDeleteThis brings back memories! I used to make this recipe a lot back in the 80's when the kids were small. I haven't made it in at least 20 years. It's making my mouth water!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your five men's new year would be nice!!
ReplyDeleteKT
Don't know why I haven't made this in years,,,,it is so good.
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious. Sounds a lot like the one our one daughter makes, except hers goes into a large brown sack and then into the oven. It's delicious.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year
Betsy, I made your Chicken Minestrone Soup (of postcard fame!) tonight and it was excellent. I was a bit leery of 1/2 cup of ketchup going into the soup pot but I did it and now I'm convinced that it's a key ingredient in the soup... a hint of sweet and "just enough" tomato-y flavor. I was especially thrilled to see both of my boys slurp up this soup. Neither one of them are too keen on seeing veggies floating in their soup bowls but there were no complaints tonight.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this recipe. What could be easier than tossing it all in the pot to simmer?!
MG ~ Yea! I'm so glad you liked it...you all ALL of your men! :)
ReplyDeleteI love caramel corn and I've never had it home made...I need to try this. Thanks for the recipe! Susan
ReplyDeletesusan ~ I don't think you will be disappointed with this recipe...it is addictive!
ReplyDeleteHow dare you share this when I am about to get on my Wii Fit :)LOL! Absolutely divine. I was just thinking about this the other day. My mom would make caramel popcorn for us when we were growing up, but I don't have a recipe to make some for my own. This is great.
ReplyDeleteI am going to make some next weekend.....shhh, I'll start my resolution afterwards LOL!
Happy New Year.
Oooo, my mom used to make popcorn balls and take them door to door on Halloween! This makes me think of them.
ReplyDeleteJust printed it...Buddy is sitting here reading it off.
