High School Homecoming

Who's that handsome guy escorting one of the senior attendants?
Why it's my handsome son at his homecoming festivities
this past Friday evening!
~~~~
And look! She won as queen!
These two have been in school together since
kindergarten. And all 4 of us parents went to
college together.
Our firstborn is growning up way too fast!
But the journey has been oh so enjoyable!
  17. Lavinia ~ Homecoming is an annual celebration weekend at most high schools, colleges and universities. It usually happens in the fall...during football season. Alumni are invited to come back and visit (hence the name)and they have their 5-10-20 year reunions. The present high school classes vote for a senior queen and a court...girls from the other 3 grades. They have escorts and it's a big production with convertibles in a parade to the football field. They they announce the winners from 3 girls of each grade. It's a fun event! I'm surprised you don't have it in Canada...I had no idea it was an American tradition!
