boys to ride a friend's horse.
Not being too partial to animals, they did very well.
Everyone petted Sunny, even if it was just with
the tip of their index finger!
But Harry did say he would ride!
He looked a little scared, but did just fine!
We've been invited back again so the boys
can become familiar with going and hopefully
will all want to take a turn!
Thanks so much, Sandy, for having us over!
This is marvelous! I'm so glad that you guys are going back too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great adventure Betsy! Harry is very brave.
ReplyDeleteI must note that you are now the shortest in your family aren't you? All your handsome men have grown SO TALL!!
Wasn't Harry the brave one! I don't know if I would climb aboard without some serious trepidations myself.
ReplyDeleteThis looks neat. I'm glad Harry rode. You're right maybe the other boys will want to ride next time. It looks like such a pretty place to ride. I have to tell you thanks about the laxative prescription. My co-worker has issues with it and I told her what you said and she's trying it. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Harry! I do believe he is more brave than me.
ReplyDeleteMarie ~ yes, I hope they all want to ride eventually!
ReplyDeleteJill ~ yes, Harry was brave! Can you believe how tall they are getting!
ReplyDeleteStevie ~ they offered me a ride...I declined. :)
ReplyDeleteWell that looks like fun, and you had good weather for it. Horses do make some people nervous, (including me!) mostly on account of their size, and all those movies I've seen where the horse bolts, taking its passenger on a very scary ride!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the ride went well. I remember my sister taking a ride like that when we were kids. A horse savvy cousin led the horse...unfortunately the horse was stung by a bee and took off at a gallop, my sister fell and missed an open well by inches...hair raising!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely and inspired day!♥
How fun for the boys...I'm so glad they will be going back...maybe next time they will feel a little more comfortable...Good for Harry :)
ReplyDeleteBTW...love your new header ...beautiful!
Tammy ~ oh my, I'm glad there weren't any bees to get the horse going! I'm afraid that would have ended the fun forever! Good thing your sister didn't fall in the well! OH my! Thanks for stopping by again!
ReplyDeleteDeedee ~ yes, we will go back soon and hope they improve with each visit! Glad you like the header! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, this is fantastic!! How nice of them to let your boys come and ride! Great pix, too! And more of that glorious Ohio corn.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the new improved header! Really pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteWillow ~ it is great, isn't it! Yes, the corn! We are surrounded!
ReplyDeleteGood on yer Harry! Looking forward to hearing about return visits.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice outing! That horse looks very gentle. My nephew has done thrapeutic horseback riding and it was very calming for him. I think they rocking and swaying motion a horse generates when it walks is comforting. I hope Harry enjoys many more rides!
ReplyDeleteThat's great! How nice for them. Hopefully they will all want to ride him soon!
ReplyDeleteThat's great. It looks like Harry is having a good time. Probably good therapy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your encouragement All~~ I'll let you know when we go back and who was the next brave one! :)
ReplyDeleteBetsy, dear friends of mine have two boys, one of whom has autism. For the past several years they have taken both boys for "horse therapy" and they both love it enormously. It took a couple tries in the beginning but now they are addicted!
ReplyDeleteOn another note, those morning glories are quite surreal - how absolutely beautiful and cheerful they are.
Suza ~ thank for telling me about these two boys. I haven't heard of horse therapy, just thought it would be a fun way to get them out of the house! This encourages me to keep taking them!

Good for the boys and riding the horse. It must have been a big challenge.

Suza ~ thanks so much for these links! I'll check them out today!
ReplyDeleteAbe ~ yes, everything is a challenge, it seems...but worth the effort when they get to experience something new! Thanks for the visit!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun, although I have to admit, horses kinda scare me:)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I love your header!!!! Beautiful!
Michelle
Suza ~ just investigated the links you sent me! Very interesting....thanks so much for this information!
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome - hope it helps! It usually takes a few "kicks at the can" and I have no idea what kind of expense it is in your area... but maybe it will be helpful and fun for the boys.
