Hi Betsy, what an inspiring quote and picture. I have come to know you through Bach's and Willow's blogs - and have visited many times without leaving a comment. I have enjoyed the recipes, the birds and the flowers that you have posted about but my real wish is to let you know how much I admire you.
Your attitude and fortitude in dealing with the daily challenges you face is inspiring. My degree is in music education and for a very long while I was going to work with autistic children using music as a means of communication, which, as I am sure you know, helps in their development.
Ultimately, my focus changed to one of performing but I have never forgotten what it was like to work with some of these special children and how the gift of music can affect all of us in so many ways.
I think the words in this psalm are particularly appropriate "justice of your cause" as I know, from reading your blog for many months, it is one you hold near and dear.
I wish you all the best with your five men and please know that three of them hold an extra special place in my heart.
Lavinia ~ yes, they do! And over the past months when I've been desperate for some direction or comfort I have been amazed at the verses God has seemingly dropped in my lap.
Suza ~ Wow! Thank you so very much for commenting here today! Your words were very encouraging and timely for me needing to hear them! They brought tears to my eyes and some encouragement to my heart, which I needed today. I knew who you were but didn't know that you visited, so thanks for commenting. Your background in music education is interesting! My boys love music!
I love this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Betsy, for the photo and the words of wisdom. The psalms offer comfort everlasting, don't they....
ReplyDeleteWhat a comfort this verse is when we are accused unjustly. Beautiful photo too.
