Willow posted it back a few months ago here. You must try it...delicious and easy!
Willow's Bread Pudding
6 eggs
2/3 c sugar
2 t vanilla
dash of salt
Whisk all of the above.
Gradually add...
5 c scalded milk
Set aside.
Lay 6 hamburger buns (leftover bread of any kind) in greased 9x13.
Spread with 3 T softened butter
Sprinkle with 2/3 c brown sugar and 1 t cinnamon
Pour egg mixture over all
Bake 350 for 25-35 minutes until knife comes out clean
Will be puffy and browned.
I didn't scald the milk and used 3 cups milk with 2 c buttermilk
And I used hotdog buns (opened up).
Thank you, Willow!

put the kettle on! :)

ReplyDeleteMethinks the leftovers will make a lovely breakfast for you. I adore bread pudding! When the professor and I went to the coast back in January we ate at a nice place that served Key Lime bread pudding for dessert. I thought it sounded like a strange combination but, oh my, is was scrumptious!
