You know.....you women have it tough! It takes my wife an hour to get ready for the day. She get's irritated with me because I can shower, comb my hair, get dressed and be out the door in 16 minutes.....18 minutes if I brush my teeth!!! Loved the picture!
It would be great if you don't consider all the inconveniences it would cause. I wouldn't be able to walk up my narrow stairs to my bedroom! LOL!
I've always thought it would be great if the round plumpness always depicted in old paintings of nude women would come back. You know, the paintings that make it look like women lounge around in the buff all day eating. I actually think I'd have to fatten up a bit to be in vogue.
Reese ~ I've thought about that, too...those old paintings do show all the women plump and nude...and lounging! ha! Maybe it was just the artist's fantasy. Too funny...yes, you would have a hard time getting up any staircase at all!
Betsy...you crack me up :) I'm understanding more why the homes back in those days had larger rooms...If I dressed like that in my home I would knock everything off of those end tables, tea cups and all, each time I passed by......sooo funny...
Deedee ~ yes, that is so true! And I guess that's why the dances in those days were so tame and motionless! If they were to jiggle their hips, they could injure someone standing nearby! tee-hee
Lora ~ yes, the dress is looking more and more funny to me as the day goes on. Actually, now I'm thinking it looks like a fancy bassinet and she's standing in it! Must have weighed a ton...just look at all the tassels and bows, not to mention yards and yards of fabric! And all without airconditioning! OH my!
i got all excited thinking maybe there were hippies back in the old days!! i guess the hippies back then were the ones opting out of the life-sucking dresses...how long do you figure it took to put one of those things on??
Fashion like this would come in quite handy, for the reasons mentioned. It might be a hindrance though, to getting through a subway turnstile! tee hee!

Yes, and in comparions our top half would always look smaller! It would be hard to manuever in my galley kitchen, though.
ReplyDeleteIt would give a whole new meaning to the phrase "she's got junk in her trunk"
ReplyDeleteStrider ~ yes, you men have it great! And how nice of you to consider brushing your teeth! :)

ReplyDeleteAnd Willow ~ would you have a full-body apron to go over this getup while you were cooking in that narrow kitchen?
ReplyDeleteThis gave me a good laugh today! Even the comments are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking about Mr. B--he's doing much better!
