Stars of Wonder

Brittle Star
Millipede
Basket Star
Cushion Star
Netted Star
Sugar Star
Sunflower Star
Here's another entry on shells and other
ocean life. Not all of these starfish are mine.
I have several cushion, sugar and netted starfish.
But the others are new to me! I have never
heard of or seen photographs of these other
interesting star fish. I gave you the names
with the pictures this time since some were
sure to stump you!

  2. The brittle star is very spider-like...as for the basket star...it looks like some child's crazy doodles!

  4. Lavinia ~ I was curious as to why the brittle star has that name. Maybe it is just that...brittle and easily broken when it is dry. That basket star looks like a net of knitting or crochet...maybe Knitting Mania would think it looked like a purse! :)

  5. Hmmm, perhaps Knitting Mania will create a shell or starfish inspired handbag next?
