Communication Skills

Many may remember a few weeks ago me talking here
about Spencer's obsession with printing train
pictures off of the interenet and taping them into
long trails that lay all over the house.
It is a true obsession and he will print 500 pictures in
one setting! Because of that, I remove (and hide!)
the ink cartridge from my printer and he gets it as
a special treat about once a week.
He usually just asks by saying "I want ink please"
(which actually sounds more like "I wah E-U peas")
Today, he brought me this! He can write when he
has to, but not usually at his own initiation.
My writing of "print" and "ink" are at the top
as I showed him the correct spelling.
"I want print please!"
Yea, Spence!

  2. Progress! You must be proud....Isn't it interesting, Spencer seems to have the same wish we all do--we want ink, please, we have something to say/print/express.

  9. Lavinia ~ all the boys have been good about saying "please" when they request things. I think getting the requested item gives some incentive. :) Harry always says "you" for thank you. Alex nods (he doesn't say any words, but nods instead...actually really cute!) And Spencer will say thank you if you remind him. Sounds more like "woo". :)

  11. Sweet Cottage ~ Yes, it would be great to have him buy his own ink! LOL! Now you know why I limit the printing and hide the cartridge!
