Scripture and Prayers for your Inbox Part 2

I've posted before about a Christian Autism Group
called Children of Destiny that will send you a
daily scripture verse and a prayer for your child
with autism. I wanted to post
again about this, since April is National
Autism Awareness Month.
And also because today, the verse is very
interesting to me. ....there are a lot of promises
here for people who care for the weak.....blessing,
safety, protection, health and healing from illness!
"Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble. The LORD will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes. The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness." Psalm 41:1-3, NIV
PRAYER:
Dear Father,We come to you today in the mighty Name of Jesus. We ask that you would direct our government to supply the education that is needed for children with autism. We ask the educational system would have the finances and resources to educate people with autism. We boldly ask for justice to rain over the funding for special education. We pray that bureaucracy would not interfere with the education; instead we ask that those who make funding decisions will have your mind as they allocate funds for special education. We ask that you would give creativity and wisdom to our schools so that the finances that they have are spent wisely. We also ask that you would supply our financial needs as we seek to educate our child properly. We pray that we would have creativity and wisdom to know how to pay for any additional programs
he may be needing.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

  1. Hi Betsy,

I read your prayer today with tears in my eyes. I can't imagine what challenges and struggles you face as a mother who loves her beautiful boys with all the love in your heart. You want the best for them, you know that they deserve it, that children are precious beyond words, but it takes an awful lot of help and co operation from so many others, in order for all of our children to obtain what they need and want, in order to live the full, happy, and happy lives we want for them. I've often mentioned, and I ferverntly believe, that a mother's prayer takes precendence in heaven. I do believe that our Lord hears the prayers of the world's mothers first and foremost.

You can add my voice to the prayer you have written today. I'll include it in my prayers tonight. God does listen, our prayers are heard....Jesus instructed His followers many times to ask Him, to come to Him, to inform Him of our needs.

    Regards,
    Lavinia

He is older now....they have found wonderful schools through the years..You can add my voice to that beautiful prayer as well...Dee Dee

  6. Hey MG...be sure and give her the website! It's really wonderful to get a verse and prayer every day that you can apply directly to your family as far as autism is concerned. I'm sure she would be encouraged!
