“What makes the difference between wishing and
realizing our wishes? Lots of things, and it may take months
or years for a wish to come true,
but it's far more likely to happen when you care so much
about a wish that you'll do all you can to make it happen.” ~~Fred Rogers
American Television Host and Producer
Alex at the Cincinnati Train Museum

  1. Wasn't Mr. Rogers the best? I miss him.

Those are fantastic pictures of Alex!!!

  2. Yes, and it's fitting to use his words with Alex's picture. Alex loves Mr. Rogers still and looks for The Neighborhood on tv. :)

  3. Precious photo of Alex!
I too miss Mr. Rogers. Love his quote. Had to read it twice.

  4. you really are an amazing mom...i see God's penmanship all over you and your children...i am most amazed at how well balanced your life seems...i cannot express how thankful i am to be your "blog buddy"!

  5. Hi granola! I feel the same about you! :) You know, I wasn't always so balanced! We are in our 10th year of autism. I've learned the hard way that you have to nuture all areas of your life. It makes you a better quality person, even in the area of autism mom, researcher, treatment giver, etc.
And it helps that my boys are in school. I have time to regroup, listen to the quiet, (the biggest perk!) and get things done without being pulled in 3 directions at once. And let's not forget God ~ he has blessed us tremendously!
I know you would agree that this is a hard thing ~ most people cannot possibly relate ~ and we couldn't do it without Him.
