Have you seen the moon tonight?
Go look!
It's awesome!
I love it when you can see the center point
and sections like an orange!
see more skies HERE!
♥
looks great!
ReplyDeleteI got the number one spot?!?
DeleteDoesn't it? Did you go outside and look? Lovely!
DeleteAnd hey...what are you doing here in this spot? haha.
Yes, I went outside, and it's gorgeous!
DeleteIt sure is! :)
DeleteGorgeous! It's cloudy here so I can't see it. :(
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hate it when that happens. It was cloudy here on the Blue Moon...I was so disappointed!
Deletealways your shot moon look amazing Betsy!! just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it pretty! So big and bright tonight!
Deleteyes but you always have amazing shots of the moon, beautiful!
DeleteThe moon is just a photogenic subject! ha. Always cooperative...much more than my boys! ha.
DeleteLovely.
DeleteGreat photo! It's cloudy here too.
ReplyDeleteOh shoot! I guess that means we'll have clouds tomorrow! :)
DeleteThanks for the heads up!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to run outside as soon as it gets dark!
WOW, it'a a beauty!!
yes, it is...happy moon watching!
DeleteWent outside, after dark, and it was really beautiful.
DeleteCouldn't see with the naked eye the center point or sections. So, I enjoyed your picture,
Oh, I can't see that with the naked eye, either...but I sure think those details are neat. Like I said on another comment..it's like God spun it on the tip of his finger as he created it.
DeleteHubby and I went to dinner *I had a salad...3rd. nite in a row* anyway I said to hubby, I wonder if Miss Betsy will snap a pic. of this beautiful moon. I dropped by to ask if you had seen the moon tonight. And here it is. It was so beautiful driving home with the misty clouds drifting over then on by.
ReplyDeleteJaG
I love to watch the moon while riding in a car! Lucky you!
DeleteI see the moon and the moon see's me!
ReplyDeleteGod bless the moon and God bless me! :)
DeleteIs it still out there?
ReplyDeleteI went to check and found it was hiding in the tree. The coyotes were yipping in the orchard... I don't like them. They're scary.
It's still there. :) Do coyotes howl at full moons?
DeleteI don't think so. Coyotes hunt at night and their frenzied yipping is not pleasant. I would not want to be a rabbit in the orchard at night.
DeleteEw. Yeah...we have coyotes just outside the village. My friends that live more in the country have them...yucky. They've lost pets to them before and wake up to them hanging around the house.
Deleteoh yes, it is beautiful...it was beautiful this morning when i was heading to work...way too early...haha
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, if you see it in the morning, you are up way too early!
DeleteIt is quite the sight
ReplyDeleteSaw it coming home from work tonight
But you get better shots than I
Over you non smoggy sky
You call my sky unsmoggy.
DeleteAre you feeling groggy? ha.
haha well you said you were far away
DeleteAnd there was no smog at your bay
It's true...no smog
Deleteor my moon would be in a fog!
I took a few myself!!
ReplyDeleteI also saw it this morning...up for a "P"!!!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
haha...well, you're very observant while up at night. I don't even think I open my eyes when I have to make a midnight run. lol....
DeleteI knew I could count on you! I went to the top of the lookout tower at the state park, but it was very hazy here. I don't think I got any photos near as beautiful as this!
ReplyDeleteI got lucky....it was very clear here and it wasn't hiding behind trees!
DeleteI saw it tonight I was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWasn't it? It was huge!
DeleteIt is funny how when I first look at the picture it somehow reminds me of a cantaloupe instead of the moon. I honestly never knew the moon had a center point and sections like that. You really do take the best pictures of the moon. I have never tried to do that with my camera. It seems as if I just use my phone camera for pictures and am too lazy to keep my regular camera charged. Heck I have so many cameras that I never use. I really need to make some effort and know it may never happen until all this shoulder pain goes away. Really big sigh!! Still love the beautiful moon pictures you take and wonder why my moon never seems as large but then again we can barely see any stars due to all the city lights. Love the stars in the desert and there are like 100 times more then we can see in the city. You are so blessed.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It does look like a melon...exactly! And that center point..it's almost like God spun it on his finger to create it. Yes...I am blessed! We're out in the country so the stars are bright. I bet in the desert, it's amazing!
DeleteWe saw this beautiful moon last night, but didn't take a photo - so I am glad to get to see your's instead Betsy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, wasn't it? I'm glad you didn't have clouds so you could enjoy it, too!
DeleteJust walked home from work and I must say, this year's Harvest Moon seems even bigger than last year's! Simply awesome :)
ReplyDeleteA perfect night to walk and enjoy it! :) Great to see you, Todd!
DeleteOh, my!! Beautiful. I'm going to run outside right now and see if it is still up!
ReplyDeleteIn Texas, it just might be! :) We're very overcast this morning! Cat in Indy sent me clouds and rain! haha.
DeleteGorgeous photo!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it was clear last night. It's POURING rain right now...no moon tonight! ha.
DeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI know! But my favorite is still a crescent moon! :)
DeleteNo, darn. I missed it. We had some stuff going on and when I checked it was just a big white moon :-( - Maybe next time I'll catch it with my new camera.
ReplyDeleteCheers and boogie boogie.
new camera? oooh...that's always fun!
DeleteFabulous moon shot!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a beach ball, doesn't it? ha.
DeleteThis looks incredible Betsy, seriously amazing. You can see little parts of it so vividly, just amazing!
ReplyDeleteI know...I love all the details! Incredible!
DeleteWe saw it too! Walked out of church last night and everyone started OOOHHHing and AAAHHHing...a friend even tried taking a picture. Yours is gorgeous. Love it!
ReplyDeleteIt was so bright...hard to miss! :) Glad you got to see it, too!
DeleteYes, I too communed with the moon last night - spectacular glow. Beautiful photo. Did the peridot necklace get snapped up from your shop? :-)
ReplyDeleteIt most certainly did! I think it had only been listed about 10 minutes. lol....
DeleteDarn. Clearly I have to strike while the iron is hot. I hope it is enjoyed by the purchaser. And if they renege on the deal... ;-) think of me!
Deleteok...I will! Wasn't it beautiful! I loved it!
DeleteVery beautiful. And I adore peridot - I have a couple rings with that stone and the pendant would have been perfect with them. Ah well... who knows what you might find in your next estate foraging.
DeleteThe moon was mystical, magic ... I celebrated my 72nd birthday ... my dear friend Dawn (only 48) died. Ovarian cancer. I was able to spend an hour with her ... a day I will never forget. When I look at a moon like last night's I will forever think of Dawn.
ReplyDeleteI must say Dawn was lucky to have a friend like you....I'm sorry you lost her so young! Happy belated birthday! You are incredible and so giving...love that about you. But you shouldn't lie about your age....you are much younger than that! :) xo
DeleteAwesome photo. I have never seen such detail on the moon before. It's big here right now but not so clear as that. I have no idea how you get such great pics. Mine never come out well.
ReplyDeletethanks, jenny! You have to hold your breath, wait until your hands are perfectly still and relax. I have to take 5-6 to get a good one, though. I love all that detail, too...it's incredible!
DeleteLove your moon shot. It is a great harvest moon. MB
ReplyDeleteIncredible shot! Love the detail you were able to capture.
ReplyDeleteOne word will encompass it all: magnificent!
