P is for Pizza

Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza

I don't remember the last time our family ate traditional pizza with the tomato sauce and
pepperoni!  We've become hooked on this variety and I make it often.  If you use shortcuts
like I do, it's almost as fast as a frozen pizza and so much better!

~Recipe~

pizza crust (I use Naan Garlic Flat Bread from the grocery's bakery section)
ranch salad dressing
bacon, fully cooked (I buy the precooked kind)
diced chicken (I use rotisserie or Tyson's grilled strips, thawed)
mozzarella cheese

amounts of all ingredients are your preference

Spread dressing liberally over crusts.  Snip bacon with kitchen shears directly over dressing.
I use it still frozen, straight from the freezer.  Layer on chicken.
Top with cheese.  Bake 20-25 minutes on cookie sheet until dark brown and bubbly.

I've taken on the A to Z Challenge for the month of April!
We are celebrating the letter P all day Wednesday the 18th.

  5. This sounds very good. My daughter is a love of ranch, so she would like this. We cover the crust with salsa, then grilled/shredded chicken, and top with shredded cheddar. Yummy!

  10. You know all of that didn't sound bad
Until the cheese came and then that threw off this lad
    Nasty stuff that cheese
    It just does not please..haha
    But it was close
As I eat the chicken and bacon at my house
    So you never know
Might actually be the first thing I'd at least taste that you've shown at your show..haha

    1. I would make one special
for a cheese-less kind of fellow
If you could manage the crust
      without too much fuss.
      :)

    2. I think I could manage that
As I wouldn't want to be beat by a cat
For he'll eat the crust with glee
      Until someone makes him flee..haha

  16. Oh, no…Pizza is my kryptonite. Luckily I'm not anywhere near my kitchen, Diet is safe, phewww lol But I have jotted down the recipe, as my family loves pizza, especially making our own, and this sounds very good. I know my dad won't want any part of it though, if it's not a red sauce and/or has any more or other than pepperoni on it he won't touch it- weird I know, but before on this diet, it was always a case of "you're loss, more for me" lol Sounds delicious . Thanks

    1. OK...here's my idea. Naan is thin, so naturally less carbs than thick pizza crust. Use reduced fat dressing. And chicken is healthier than pepperoni. So it's a diet alternative to ordering from pizza hut. :)

    2. I will have to consider this, thanks:)

  17. Oooh Pizza using naan bread! That's a great idea! Yay! I love pizza and I really like creating it from scratch! Take care
