Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza
I don't remember the last time our family ate traditional pizza with the tomato sauce and
pepperoni! We've become hooked on this variety and I make it often. If you use shortcuts
like I do, it's almost as fast as a frozen pizza and so much better!
~Recipe~
pizza crust (I use Naan Garlic Flat Bread from the grocery's bakery section)
ranch salad dressing
bacon, fully cooked (I buy the precooked kind)
diced chicken (I use rotisserie or Tyson's grilled strips, thawed)
mozzarella cheese
amounts of all ingredients are your preference
Spread dressing liberally over crusts. Snip bacon with kitchen shears directly over dressing.
I use it still frozen, straight from the freezer. Layer on chicken.
Top with cheese. Bake 20-25 minutes on cookie sheet until dark brown and bubbly.
I've taken on the A to Z Challenge for the month of April!
We are celebrating the letter P all day Wednesday the 18th.

Deletevery clever!!! YUMMo!
ReplyDeleteOur Sams Club used to make it in a take-and-bake kind but stopped and I had to start making it myself because we missed it so much!
DeleteP is definitely for Pizza!!! And yours looks wonderful!
ReplyDeletenever had a pizza I didn't like, actually...haha...but this is a very nice change!
DeleteThis sounds very good. My daughter is a love of ranch, so she would like this. We cover the crust with salsa, then grilled/shredded chicken, and top with shredded cheddar. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteyou should try this for her...it's very different and yummy!
Deletewhat nice pizza Betsy look awesomr and tasty, i love to makr pizza too!
ReplyDeleteI make this a lot...quick and yummy!
Deleteyeah! and look really nice I love with a lot of cheeseLol
Deleteand love mozzarella!
You have an uncanny way of making me hungry...
ReplyDelete:) you need to try this! Maybe even your mother would eat it!
Deletewe make home made pizza all the time...the boys love to help...and they love ranch too so we might need to try this one...
ReplyDeleteI think your boys would love this...let me know if you try it!
DeleteI'll be right over! This is - Hands Down! - my favorite pizza. Have not tried it with the garlic naan...but that's got to be fabulous. SOOO tasty!
ReplyDeleteyum..ours, too! :) Those naans are so easy, too...and nice and thin, if you like pizza like that.
DeleteYou know all of that didn't sound bad
ReplyDeleteUntil the cheese came and then that threw off this lad
Nasty stuff that cheese
It just does not please..haha
But it was close
As I eat the chicken and bacon at my house
So you never know
Might actually be the first thing I'd at least taste that you've shown at your show..haha
I would make one special
Deletefor a cheese-less kind of fellow
If you could manage the crust
without too much fuss.
:)
I think I could manage that
DeleteAs I wouldn't want to be beat by a cat
For he'll eat the crust with glee
Until someone makes him flee..haha
a certain whiskery kitty here
Deletewas trying to lick the cheese without fear!
LOL that binds Orlin up quite well
DeleteSo cheese is not something I would recommend they swell
All boys love pizza.....that's a given
ReplyDeleteIf it's a dedication.... You can cut the ribbon.
I don't think I would ever get tired of eating it. Even cold for breakfast like in college. ha.
DeleteThis does sound simple and delicious. Haven't had Pizza in a very long time..perhaps it's time.
ReplyDeletereally easy...I hope you try it!
DeleteBetsy...
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy!
I love Pizza...I might have to try this. How many does it serve?
I would need to make a bunch for my crew!
Take care,
Nancy
P.S. How are the cats doing?
hey...hope your family likes it! I didn't give amounts, so just make as much as you need!
Deletethe cats are doing well and little Grey girl even let me pet her last night! woo-hoo! :)
Mmmmm! It looks like "D" for delicious, too! Ranch dressing...a novel idea.
ReplyDeleteyeah...it's novel and such a nice change. You should make it for your grandsons...I bet they would love it!
DeleteDarn it... I was just heading to bed and now I'm craving pizza. Will quiche be next? :o
ReplyDeletelol...sorry! Hope you didn't dream about it all night! :)
DeleteOh, no…Pizza is my kryptonite. Luckily I'm not anywhere near my kitchen, Diet is safe, phewww lol But I have jotted down the recipe, as my family loves pizza, especially making our own, and this sounds very good. I know my dad won't want any part of it though, if it's not a red sauce and/or has any more or other than pepperoni on it he won't touch it- weird I know, but before on this diet, it was always a case of "you're loss, more for me" lol Sounds delicious . Thanks
ReplyDeleteOK...here's my idea. Naan is thin, so naturally less carbs than thick pizza crust. Use reduced fat dressing. And chicken is healthier than pepperoni. So it's a diet alternative to ordering from pizza hut. :)
DeleteI will have to consider this, thanks:)
DeleteMiam !!!
ReplyDeletePierre
I thought so! :)
DeleteOooh Pizza using naan bread! That's a great idea! Yay! I love pizza and I really like creating it from scratch! Take care
ReplyDeletex
pizza is good any way we fix it, isn't it? yum.
DeleteYUM! Love this! Will have to try it. We eat alot of Naan...so tasty.
ReplyDeleteHey, FYI...there is a wonderful Indian man who brings FRESH Naan to the Farm and Art market down town...he also sells in YS. It is WORTH the trip!!! His chutneys are too! DELISH!
oooh...thanks for telling me that! I'll have to look for him!
DeleteI'm already looking for option for dinner...this one is looking good..the only thing is that I will have to buy it...no time for cooking today! HAve a great day
ReplyDeleteyumm...hope you find one to buy for dinner!
DeleteGrammer Natzi sez: I think you meant to write "Non-Garlic Flat Bread" instead of "Naan Garlic Flat Bread." Shape up!
ReplyDeleteThe Real Grammar Nazi sez: Please ignore that. That was Orson!

DeleteI knew the babes would love my six-pack abs!
