So, I'm straightening up the family room today and notice Marmalade watching something with his ears perked up. I take a closer look to see that new black mother cat along with kittens on our back porch! Remember that double take Mustache was having last week? Five kittens to be exact, all having lunch! But wait...not five.. There is this little one that is too scared to come any closer. If six isn't bad enough, I could have sworn I saw another in the bushes. Seven kittens? I watched them later as they trotted home, two houses down from us. I wonder if that family knows they've been adopted. Maybe not, if they are coming here to eat. It's like going out to eat...down to Betsy's house....and to visit their half brothers and sister. LOL. And no, I'm not keeping 11 kittens. Don't even ask. ha. Besides, 5 of them look like Mustache. How could I possibly name them all? Although this little grey one is absolutely adorable!
♥
oh boy !!! i have had 3 then 5 then 7 then 3..but never 11 !!!!!!
ReplyDeletethey are adorable though ...
happy to stop by, my friend
kary and teddy
xo
Kary ~ you had seven before? Oh my...but that must have been fun. :) I'm loving my four...but am not looking for that number to grow.
ReplyDeleteYou have a soft heart for kitty cats that is for sure...me too! They are each so cute! ;D
ReplyDeleteJulie ~ I need a barn! lol...
ReplyDeleteYou'll never be able to keep track of them all!
ReplyDeleteAwww that gray one is adorable!!! My kids would love to visit your house Betsy. They could pet all your kitties, and I wouldn't have to feed them. LOL
ReplyDeleteSilver ~ I'm going to send them off to Pat
ReplyDeleteinstead of trying to keep track. :)
You are just like my cousin Judie in Rochester, New York. She had a couple weeks ago 23 cats that come to her house every day and nite. She has joined with a few other ladies and they are finding them homes, socializing the ones that are not too social and they are spaying and neutering them. She loves them all. She has been successful..I think she is down to about 7 now.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin!
Kim ~ I think the cats spread the word...where the food is and all. Twenty three? Well, now this bunch doesn't sound so big now! lol. I think we need to catch the dad and fix him! :)
ReplyDeleteEither fix him or get the fuzzy little guy to start paying child support.
ReplyDeletethe dad will be the one with the biggest smile on his face! hahaa
ReplyDeleteYour kitties are all so adorable.
Silver ~ lol. I do know who he is and have seen him a few times, but he doesn't come when I call him that is for sure. ha.
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here laughing out loud!
ReplyDeleteOh, Betsy!
That little Prissy, is adorable.
Kim ~ LOL!
ReplyDeleteChristine ~ well, I'm laughing too...I mean...this is crazy! lol...
ReplyDeletelol@going down to Betsy's house to eat haha. That is way to many I agree but they are the cutest and the grey one oh my is he cute.
ReplyDeleteBecky ~ I agree that grey one is adorable! If they stick around I'll have to start finding homes for them. I already found someone that wants one!
ReplyDeleteProblem may be an understatement. Pretty soon animal control will be at your door. :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh dear and oh my. And oh they are so cute. But what would you do with 11 cats. Oh my goodness. LOL We have four and that's more than enough for us.
ReplyDeleteThe little gray and white one is absolutely adorable. What a sweetie pie.
A bright and beautiful day to you,
Bird
hahahaha oh that is too funny for sure
ReplyDeleteYou have kitties everywhere at your shore
No don't ship them to me
Unless you want Orlin to have a fit and swat them with glee..haha
The grey one is cute too
It's at least different than the others in the crew
Just think that with three more
You catch that nasty place Orlin visits with 14 running across the floor..haha
Pat ~ yep 14 still has me beat..although if you count the moms it would be 13. So, yes your vacation spot has me beat by a few.
ReplyDeleteTell her that a few of these may be on there way, too! lol....Might have to keep the grey if he wants to stay.
Betsy, you can officially call yourself a cat lady now!
ReplyDeleteoh boy! My cousin has a mama like that and she takes the kittens to the SPCA to be adopted. some she relocates herself, if she can.
ReplyDeleteover the years the litters have been many but small. Now mama hides the kittens and they are harder to tame once they are caught. It would be easier to spay the mother and then she can become a family outdoor cat.She will be anyway by the looks of it.lol
Lady ~ this is a different mom! Same dad, though.
ReplyDeleteyou are getting quite the reputation betsy...the day you walk out and there are 50 cats mewwing for milk....yep
ReplyDeleteOh Betsy....Are you just a "cat" magnet....eleven!!!
ReplyDeleteBut that little gray one is so adorable...I'd take it in a wink. We had a cat for many years that looked like that. Our Figgy! Had to find him a home when the grandchildren became allergic.
Soon you'll have to work extra auctions to pay for all the cat food :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, what a Pandora's Box you've opened. :)
ReplyDeleteMagpie ~ how do I shut it? lol....
ReplyDeleteGorgeous...
ReplyDeletePierre
Hi Betsy .. I think I could fall in love .. cheers Hilary

Oh my! I couldn't resist those little sweeties. Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!! I want them all!! They're all adorable!! So so so glad you are there to look out for them! What a precious family! Take care

Worry not, Betsy. As far as names are concerned try - Walrus, Toothbrush, Chevron, Pencil, Horseshoe, Handlebar, Pancho, Fu Manchu, Adolph, Zappa, and Dali which, I believe, are all types of mustaches.
ReplyDeleteYou're getting some great pics & I so agree about the little shy, grey kitty. They surely know who loves them, too!
ReplyDeleteOne of our neighbors has 9 cats living indoors and who knows how many outdoors. They used to have a huge cat feeder outside and cats just showed up to eat all the time. They finally got rid of it and now actually feed their outside cats each day. But I would not want to be the one to clean out the litter box each day.
ReplyDeleteWe barely could handle one inside cat and so trained it to go outdoors. Our cats are like dogs only they sit at the door and meow instead of barking, or they bite at our feet if we ignore them. Not sure who is trained, us or them. Either way, the litter box smell is gone. Thank goodness.
The gray one is so cute and it would be so hard to turn that one away. Okay, they are all cute, I do hope you find nice homes for most of them. Best wishes for the kitties.
God bless.
Alan ~ oh my goodness...you are A HOOT! What a clever idea! It's way too early in the morning to be laughing this hard! :)
ReplyDeleteBlondie ~ I know! That grey one is just too sweet. Love that beautiful grey and his markings.
ReplyDeleteThe title of this post cracked me up!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, can I have it?;) I love grey & white cats, I swear if I lived any closer to you I would beg you to let me have that kitten.;)) Cute, cute, cute.;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe it is time to get Sammy a (girl)friend.;)
xoxo
Zuzana ~ I know..there's just something about that gray one! I hope they come back so I can get better photos. I took these through the back door with my zoom. As soon as they saw me they ran...I'm so scary, you know. lol.
