Sweet Smelling Rain

This evening we had one of those wonderful slow

rains. You know the kind...the soft shower that

comes with the sweet smell. Some times I think

rains smells like worms! ha. But this was one of

the fresh, clean ones. It reminded me of this

video clip. I posted it last year, but it's certainly

worth another listen...turn up your volume and

close your eyes....think spring showers! :)

  4. It worked! I closed my eyes and was transported to my childhood, where I was spending the night on my Grandma's sleeping porch with my two cousins. Thanks . . .

  6. I can listen to this video over and over.

We have a CD of a rainstorm we listen to at night, also my favorite, the CD of the ocean and sea gulls.

  7. That is an amazing creation of rain sounds. I have never seen anything like it before now. Your top photo is so marvelous of the peony and bud. I really think you captured a beautiful composition. The worms do come out during the rain and they do smell. We just had a quick shower here that lasted twenty minutes.

  8. We had a morning like that yesterday. I so wanted to just curl up with a good book, but there were errands to be run instead. Errands in the rain aren't nearly as fun:)

  10. I love this video...listened to the first part twice. We have had a yucky rain here...blowing, cold and dreary. Tomorrow, back to sun!

  11. LD ~ thank you for your compliment on my peony picture. I think the light happened to be just right when I snapped that. The daylight seems to be the key, I think.

  13. Didn't see that video the first time. Pretty incredible. Tried it with my eyes closed, but every time there was a new effect, I had to open them wondering, "How on earth did they do that?!?"

We sat out in our "barn" and watched the rain while Sam played in it...so wonderful.
