Finger Desserts

I spent last week baking for an order for finger desserts for someone's
anniversary party.  Fun, fun!  And yes, I tasted and sampled way too many!

  1. I saw these last evening on your Instagram feed and showed them to Carroll. His response was, "How does she find time to do all of the different things she does?" :) They are just gorgeous...every. single. one.

  5. What a project and so well planned and implememted. They look like a regiment of soldiers, well drilled and grilled (lol), under the command of a couisine genius. Congratulations ~ wondered why you were so quiet, and just knew you couldn't resist having a taster or two, or three, or four . . . . . . n. . . lol

    1. Nope, I certainly could not resist! But the chef must taste her food and make sure it is good!

  10. Hi Betsy - they all look delicious and you do do 'pretty' - everything always looks delightful. While I can imagine the taste is divine - bet they went down really well at the couple's anniversary celebration ... mission accomplished.

I usually make them with Physalis (Cape Gooseberry/ Inca berry/ groundcherries - not sure what you'd call them in your neck of the woods!) - which I used in South Africa and the berries in their husks can be bought here ... these would be sharper of taste than your strawberries ...

    Looks really yummy! Cheers Hilary

    2. So easy to make ... gently peel back the papery leaves ... stick 'gooseberry' in chocolate and use as you've done with the strawberry ones. They are slightly sticky - I ignore! - but see what you think ... they come in small packets and though I'm in England - they seem to come through from Chile - food travel life is 'interesting'! Cheers Hilary
