Stenciled Windows

One of the biggest selling items in my antique booth are these vintage
windows that I stencil.  They are so much fun to do and no two are
exactly alike!  I love the look of the old wood windows and the wavy
glass.  The most popular stencil theme seems to be coffee and that's not
really surprising with all the coffee bars going into kitchens these days.
This window was a custom order and shipped to New Jersey.
I had never shipped one before and was so glad to hear it arrived safely!

  2. Oh, my friend, you just amaze me with your artistic talents. I saw the review that the buyer left at your shop and he was certainly pleased. Some of the furniture pieces that you have stenciled are just gorgeous...especially the last one I saw.

I, too, really like the old glass and the wood is just beautiful.

    1. If they were on new windows, it just wouldn't have the same charm, right? Old is just better! haha....I say that as I age, you know! ;)

  3. I love this Betsy, your talent is never-ending !
Happy to hear it arrived safely to it's new owner, mailing glass is always a throw of the dice, you must have packaged it like a carton of newly-laid eggs :)

  5. This is such a cool idea! Reminds me of the old-time office doors you see in old movies, but these are more artistic!

    1. Yes, exactly....and I love those old office doors! People are putting them on their pantry doors now with 'pantry' stenciled on them. So cool!

  8. Wow, that looks great, Betsy! How long did it take you to make it?

    1. They really do not take that long as far as the actual stencil. The time is in the prep work...centering, leveling, etc. Probably an hour including the drying time between words.

  10. That is great indeed. I like the old time feel to them and can you put whatever words you want on them? Sure a win and a neat gift idea too.
