Blood Moon

It wasn't blood red here in Ohio,
but it was big and bright!

    1. I haven't been able to capture a good one in a long time!
Seems like the last few were covered with clouds for me here.

    1. Take what we got.
      That is our lot.
Still saw the man in the moon.
And the stars were out at noon!

  4. You haven't posted a moon for a while. Was beginning to think it isn't really there . . . lol
    Nice shot, Betsy.
Funny, I was watching some YouTubes about the Apollo Moon programme today . . . :)
Our heatwave has gone and thunderstorms and torrebtial rain replaces it. In Ireland a month's rain fell in 2 hours . . . :)

    1. Mr Moon has been hiding behind clouds here a lot. Finally lasts night there was a nice clear sky...great for star gazing, too!

  5. What a beautiful picture. Here in So Cal the fires gave the moon an amazing pumpkin color.

  10. I didn’t see red either. I have been seeing a lot of clouds that are blocking it right now.

    1. I don't think it was red for our side of the globe. That's usually how it is.

  11. Hi Betsy - the moon has been lovely ... not very big - but just beautiful ... it's got redder and now I guess will ease back in its colour to orange, to cream, to silvery white once again. Its trajectory pours its moonlight into my bedroom - so I've been lucky to see it, but also have been outside with the littlie grandkids from here. Fantastic moon shot ... cheers Hilary

    1. Did it get big and red there? Some photos I saw were incredible!

    2. I only saw it when it was still light so it wasn't yet as big and red as it may have gotten later.
