Hi Betsy - it's a pear-shaped 'terrarium' isn't it ... I was wondering about the book - can you tell us a little more ... thank you! It looks very interesting - love the artwork cover ... wonderful creative photo - cheers Hilary
So it's not going to be a tiny snake, a big one cannot fit in there. I actually seriously thought you would not say goldfish but a turtle ... :-) and I wanted to warn you that they grow especially when they get a good care which they would get with you ... ok let's return from the fantasy world back ... I love the kitchen towels in it! happy Wednesday and happy women's day
What an unusual, but beautiful piece of glass, Betsy. I can easily see it becoming a terraium, but it really does look lovely holding your dishtowels. Such a clever lady you are.
I've wanted to try my hand at a terrarium for a while now. I think that would be a good spring project! We'll see...my project list is getting really long. lol...
Love the curvy shape. Shells would look great although I know you already have those on display. Glass beads in water, etc. You know. I think the towels look great in it. Or... full of M&Ms! Very dangerous. :-)
New touches in your kitchen make me smile, and give me ideas..thanks for always sharing your good things. I love dish towels and cloth napkins. Always looking for ways to display them.
You are finding some really good stuff All interesting and good ideas off the cuff I hope it went well with Marmy and Socks and the vet managed to do their 'inocs'.
It does look pretty, indeed!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it cool? Wonder what it originally was!

ReplyDeletePear? I think it looks more like a Chinese lantern. haha. I wonder if it had a lid at one time.

haha....goodness....that would hold 20 lbs of M&M's. Yum. That would be the death of me right there on the counter with an open top. lol.

Yes, Marmy and Socks are fine...got their shots and back home.
DeleteMarmy looks very leery of me now, though. ha.
Yes, it's certainly different. You find all sorts of interesting things at the auctions you attend.
ReplyDeleteYou just never know...and each one is different...but that's the fun, of course!
DeleteI like the terrarium idea. I used to have a nice terrarium shaped like a big bottle on its side, it held many plants. So sorry I sold it.
ReplyDeletereally pretty!
