That calendar is a Susan Branch desk blotter. I've never had one before and I'm really enjoying it! Both of my baby tears need transplanted! How is that rooting coming along?
One of the sprigs looks like it's starting to get some fine hairs on it. I'm at the beach this week and it's at the lake. I can't wait to get back and see how it's doing. I'm always experimenting.
Two men fell deeply in love with a gorgeous lady from Ohio. Let's say her name is Betsy . . lol The first was an airline pilot and the other was a doctor. The airline pilot told her he had to go away for a week on a long haul flight. He gave her seven lovely apples.
Ohhh! I really like this. Pretty colours, beautifully drawn. Nice size. I have so many mugs that I just don't use because they are smaller. Love the lip of it... almost like a mason jar curve.
It is pretty, isn't it? And cheery, too. Thanks, Mari....I really appreciate that. Sometimes I think I'm living on the edge of crazy. Won't take much to push me over. haha...
Hi Betsy - how beautiful and it has its gold in tact ... it's been looked after. Wonderful and you'll enjoy that image as Spring unfolds outside ... enjoy your tea! Cheers Hilary
I have a mug fetish. Love them, and yours is very pretty. I know you don't stop by anymore but I have a post for you today. Check it out and see if you can spot the error. Hope all is well. :0)
Yes, I saw it right away. Very typical for my name for some reason! I never did understand, though...they are obviously not sounding it out as they write. :)
It's a beautiful mug Betsy. Lots of yummy happy coffees! I see you have a planner underneeth. This year I got a paper agenda (after a several years break) as I was missing the paper and the pen. The iphone/ipad cannot replace the cozy feeling I get while writing by hand. A beautiful mug and agenda sounds just perfect! How are you? I did not show up for a few days as we are all under the weather and hubby was back home with a flu ... but I have been thinking of you a lot!
Me, too...I still hand write a lot of this...my calendar, lists, etc. So sorry you all have been sick! I'm doing alright..thanks for asking. Still exhausted, but not so grief stricken that I can't function. :)
Very nice! Isn't it lovely to use pretty things for every day? I nearly cried earlier because my beautiful salad bowl got chipped. But I'm using it anyway. The chip is nowhere near the salad but v sad. I can't buy a new one unless I go back to Tetbury which is in Gloucestershire. And they might not have any in stock.Oh well.
I totally agree and I've cried over broken things before. :) I still use things with chips...as long as they aren't sharp enough to hurt someone. Maybe you could order one online? The Mister doesn't share my love of dishes or understand the tears of something breaks. "It's just a dish!" he says. haha...
No sadly not. It was a hand made hand painted dish. And I will still use it but such a shame. Men don't see things the same way do they? Someone called unpleasant and horrible today. I was at work so not able to scream **** *** or whatever. It leaves you feeling a bit low.
Very nice, the detail is exquisite. Your gain and somebody's loss.
ReplyDeleteI think so, too! And you know how I love old things! haha.
DeleteSomeone was quite an artist!
You love old things? Am I included in that?
DeleteMost days. :)
DeletePaint me green... with envy. ;) It's gorgeous. blessings ~ tanna

Gentle hugs,

I think so, too! And I don't care if they are antiques...I'd rather use
Deletethem and enjoy them rather than have them sit on a shelf and get dusty!
Absolutely perfect. I kinda like that calendar it's sitting on. And I see that pretty little baby tears, too.

That's a mighty fine mug . . . quite a find, but there you go, you are an expert at finding good stuff . . . :)

Why? . . . :)

Not too long ago I cleaned out my mugs and took out all those that I love but never reach for. Time to go! And yes, most were too small!
DeleteAieee. Not sure I can do that quite yet. But I will work my way toward it. I did donate four to a friend of mine who had rid himself of too many!
DeleteI don't think I've ever seen a mug that is so pretty and classy!
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing - You've been in my prayers.
It is pretty, isn't it? And cheery, too.
DeleteThanks, Mari....I really appreciate that. Sometimes I
think I'm living on the edge of crazy. Won't take much to

You've had a lot on your plate. :(
DeleteOh, I know....and you don't know the half of it...the worst half. :(
DeleteIt is beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Larry! I sure think so! :)
DeleteWow this is so chic!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your coffee.
Love
The coffee was delish! :)
DeleteHi Betsy - how beautiful and it has its gold in tact ... it's been looked after. Wonderful and you'll enjoy that image as Spring unfolds outside ... enjoy your tea! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteYeah, the gold looks great...just a little worn on the handle...which means someone loved to drink from it a long time ago! :)
DeleteI have a mug fetish. Love them, and yours is very pretty.

Or as we read, like in my case.
DeleteHannah's comment was that "Bestie" was spelled with an "ie" not a "y," and then I saw it.
I am so blond!
Beautiful mug! New month, new beginnings!
ReplyDeleteVintage is almost always prettier!
DeleteI am always a sucker for a pretty piece of china, pottery etc. That one is BEAUTIFUL.
ReplyDeleteOh, me too.....it's a weakness!

DeleteOh, that's awful. People can be so mean...especially on the phone or online where they don't have to say something to your face.
DeleteIts lovely! =)
ReplyDeleteThank you. :) I'm enjoying it a lot.
