  2. Love your series. Your bird is pretty...love it's color. And, I have a bag of Snickers hidden in a kitchen drawer. Lol! Had 2 after supper tonight. I found another one that I've gone googoo over. It's called Take 5. It has a pretzel in the middle with caramel and covered in chocolate. Yum!!

    1. It's been ages since I've had a Take 5. And I could eat five of them...no problem. hahahaha....oh wait, that's not what they mean by take five...lol.
My poor parakeet ...his friend died today after a good long life. I hope he won't be lonely, because I'm not buying him another. lol.... Aw. He's still singing so I hope he's happy.

    3. I know...poor birdie...but he lived a long, long time. I could tell his days were numbered the last month. I was hoping he'd go quickly but he lingered a while. Aw.

    1. I have a lot of blue, don't I? haha.

Well, I had 2 birds until this weekend. They are both old and one went off to bird heaven so we only have this one left! I hope he won't be too lonely!

    2. Oh! I am so sorry to hear that Betsy! I think that the other birdie will be really sad as birds and these especially are very sensitive to attention. So you may need to spend extra time everyday with him ... or maybe to get him a little friend? ... oh I feel so sorry for your (and the other birdie) loss!!!! Hugs

    3. Yes, I've been asking him if he's lonely. He seems happy and is singing but I've been talking to him more than usual.

  4. Hi Betsy - wonderful ... love the lunch plateful - good, healthy, yet bounding with taste: good looking terrine too. Do you have budgerigars too? Hadn't realise! Oh I see he's a parakeet ... but he's singing - that's good ...

Lovely ... enjoy the Autumnal week ahead - cheers Hilary

  5. Love the paper bag with the fruit in it. We used to learn about pecks once upon a time. Also rods, poles or perches (measurements of length). No more. I can't recall when the UK is supposed to have gone metric but I am still terminally confused between feet & inches (which I use for my height) and millimetres, centimetres & metres (which I use for sewing). The young people, the under 30s, seem to be completely metric but the rest of us will I suspect be muddled forever.

    1. Are we the only country that isn't metric? haha....it is all foreign to me. Just give me inches, feet, yards and miles, please!

I'm debating about what to do with those apples....eat them as is and be healthy or make a pie? Hmmmm....

    2. I vote for apple sauce. With roast pork. and then I'd frame the bag!

  8. Got on the computer for a few minutes this morning before we leave Tahoe and the little cabin. Heading to Sue and Dave's (blog friend) for a few more days of visiting.

Love your Saturday slice of life. You just bring everything to life with your pictures. Feel like I could just step into them. The kitty's are so adorable. Love and Hugs.

    1. I know...poor bird. But I could see it coming the last few weeks.
Exactly about Harry. He's so hard to photograph,...it was best to catch him busy
      with something! haha.

    1. Yes...almost done! Have closet doors to paint and a peg shelf to build. T&L are coming for a weekend
