First Fruit

My tiny little blueberry bush I planted last month
had one little berry on it today!
It was a pleasant surprise to find while
I watered the garden this morning!

    1. I hope so! I planted two of them...wasn't expecting anything for a year or two,
so this is promising! Better than the hydrangeas, that is for sure. haha.

  5. Oh blueberries. Muffins, scones, pie, on cereal, in salad or just pop them in your mouth. I hope you get many many more in the months to come.

    1. Me, too! I buy them every week at the grocery, so some in the garden would be great!

  7. I'm afraid it wouldn't make it into a pie. I wouldn't be able to practice self-control. Into my tummy it would go.

  9. Yum! Love blueberries. Watch out for the birdies, they love blueberries too. I have to protect my bush from them. As soon as they spotted a ripe blueberry they took it. Very early in the morning. I had no chance to compete ... haha. A net over the bush was the solution ... :-)

  12. You'll have to talk nicely to the plant. That poor little blueberry will be so lonely . . . haha
Hope you get a good crop ~ it is encouraging after just one month . . . :)
