Spring Weekend

  1. The crab apple trees are just about to burst open!
  2. Still cool enough for jeans but warm enough for bare feet.
  3. Cooked some yummy meals.
  4. Cut three boys' hair.
  5. Enjoyed watching Tiger in the sun dappled grass.
  6. And who Tiger was watching in the branches above!

    1. It was a really nice weekend!
It seemed like Tiger spent his winter sleeping under our bed, so it's
nice to see him outside enjoying the nice weather! We kept teasing him,
saying he was like a troll living under a bridge and only came out at night
to say hello when we were getting ready for bed! Then he slept at the foot of the bed
      until morning. Silly cat.

    2. It must be very special under your bed! I just can't get over your green grass. We're still quite brown here.

    3. haha...So many pretty places to snuggle down for the day and he chooses that. This evening I saw him on the porch swing, so maybe he was just trying to sleep winter away. haha.

    4. Sleeping winter away... what a good plan. I bet the porch swing is at a premium during the warm months. Great place for kitties.

    5. They love the swing...perfect for cats...up high so they feel safe...little breeze....sometimes there are three on there! haha.

  2. Lovely pictures as usual. Is Tiger watching Cyril, or Cyril watching Tiger? A stand-off!

    1. How did the boys react to being shorn?

    2. They were most certainly watching each other!

The boys were happy to get a haircut! It was long past due and
I think their long hair was bothering them!

  3. Thank you for sharing your photos Betsy..will we get a peek of the new haircuts?

  4. Love, love your crabapple buds! Jeans and bare feet are the only way to go. I live in flip flops at least 8 months out of the year. And girl, you are skinny. I'm so jealous! I keep losing a little here and there. It's coming off very slowly, but I guess that's the best way. It's running and biking season. That will surely help. I discovered last year while bike training that it's the best exercise for me at losing inches and a few pounds. Your squirrel picture is cute. I am at war with the ones here. I would have put cayenne pepper all over that bird feeder. Lol!!!

    1. I can't believe it's been a year since you were training for that bike marathon! My oh my, time sure flies! And inches are always better than pounds, right? haha. My legs are skinny but I have a few lumps and bumps left over from the holidays that I need to smooth out....lol...

My redbud is open...need to get a photo before it's all gone!

    2. Oh yes, please get a picture of the redbud! Yep, it's been a year since I started training. I want to do another one...maybe next year. I would love to do the one in Louisiana. You get to spend the night in plantation homes. Good luck smoothing out the L&B's. Gosh, it's so hard!

    3. The Louisiana one sounds fun....well, the plantation homes part, not the cycling part. haha.
Yep, working on the L&B's...lol....I'm determined!

  7. We spent Saturday with our Birmingham family, including our grandson, Baylor, who is on the spectrum. I told my DIL, Katy, about your blog and instagram. She liked the fact that you are upbeat in your sharing. She had to quit reading some spectrum moms blogs because they were just overwhelming her. I told her about the boys printing out the train pictures and she and my son got a big kick out of that. Thank you for helping us not to feel so alone in this journey.

    1. Oh goodness...I can relate to those blogs! I followed a dozen or so when I started blogging but just couldn't make a connection with them...they were whiny and well, hateful a lot of the time. Very overwhelming to try to make an emotional connection with them. Maybe I was further along in my journey and they were still in the anger stage or something. I didn't feel like they were encouraging and uplifting to me, so I dropped all of them. Sometimes blogging needs to feed the rest of your soul and remind you that there is more to your life than autism.

    2. Exactly Betsy! You put it so well!!

    3. Well, tell your DIL to come say hello. I'd love to 'meet' her. :)

Your feet are nicer than mine . . . haha
Like the cat and mouse (squirrel) sequence.
    I need a hair cut!! Care to style it? . . . there is plenty there still . . haha . . :)

Cutting hair three times is no small task. :)
