- The crab apple trees are just about to burst open!
- Still cool enough for jeans but warm enough for bare feet.
- Cooked some yummy meals.
- Cut three boys' hair.
- Enjoyed watching Tiger in the sun dappled grass.
- And who Tiger was watching in the branches above!
♥
Fun weekend. And Tiger is so handsome! Yummm to the food.
ReplyDeleteIt was a really nice weekend!
DeleteIt seemed like Tiger spent his winter sleeping under our bed, so it's
nice to see him outside enjoying the nice weather! We kept teasing him,
saying he was like a troll living under a bridge and only came out at night
to say hello when we were getting ready for bed! Then he slept at the foot of the bed
until morning. Silly cat.
It must be very special under your bed! I just can't get over your green grass. We're still quite brown here.
Deletehaha...So many pretty places to snuggle down for the day and he chooses that. This evening I saw him on the porch swing, so maybe he was just trying to sleep winter away. haha.
DeleteSleeping winter away... what a good plan. I bet the porch swing is at a premium during the warm months. Great place for kitties.
DeleteThey love the swing...perfect for cats...up high so they feel safe...little breeze....sometimes there are three on there! haha.
DeleteLovely pictures as usual. Is Tiger watching Cyril, or Cyril watching Tiger? A stand-off!
ReplyDeleteHow did the boys react to being shorn?
DeleteThey were most certainly watching each other!
DeleteThe boys were happy to get a haircut! It was long past due and
I think their long hair was bothering them!
Thank you for sharing your photos Betsy..will we get a peek of the new haircuts?
ReplyDeleteI can get a photo, I'm sure...let me try in the morning as we wait for the bus. :)
DeleteLove, love your crabapple buds! Jeans and bare feet are the only way to go. I live in flip flops at least 8 months out of the year. And girl, you are skinny. I'm so jealous! I keep losing a little here and there. It's coming off very slowly, but I guess that's the best way. It's running and biking season. That will surely help. I discovered last year while bike training that it's the best exercise for me at losing inches and a few pounds. Your squirrel picture is cute. I am at war with the ones here. I would have put cayenne pepper all over that bird feeder. Lol!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's been a year since you were training for that bike marathon! My oh my, time sure flies! And inches are always better than pounds, right? haha. My legs are skinny but I have a few lumps and bumps left over from the holidays that I need to smooth out....lol...
DeleteMy redbud is open...need to get a photo before it's all gone!
Oh yes, please get a picture of the redbud! Yep, it's been a year since I started training. I want to do another one...maybe next year. I would love to do the one in Louisiana. You get to spend the night in plantation homes. Good luck smoothing out the L&B's. Gosh, it's so hard!
DeleteThe Louisiana one sounds fun....well, the plantation homes part, not the cycling part. haha.
DeleteYep, working on the L&B's...lol....I'm determined!
The food looks so good. Looks like some fine spring time in you area!
ReplyDeleteIt's been very nice the last few days...cool mornings and evenings but warm in the afternoon!
DeleteIt looks similar to here - I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteYour meat looks so tender and juicy... yum!
Love that Tiger shot. Happy Kitty!
Flat Iron steak...our very favorite. If you don't know about it, you should try it!
DeleteLean, no bone, no fat...very juicy and tender. yum.
We spent Saturday with our Birmingham family, including our grandson, Baylor, who is on the spectrum. I told my DIL, Katy, about your blog and instagram. She liked the fact that you are upbeat in your sharing. She had to quit reading some spectrum moms blogs because they were just overwhelming her. I told her about the boys printing out the train pictures and she and my son got a big kick out of that. Thank you for helping us not to feel so alone in this journey.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness...I can relate to those blogs! I followed a dozen or so when I started blogging but just couldn't make a connection with them...they were whiny and well, hateful a lot of the time. Very overwhelming to try to make an emotional connection with them. Maybe I was further along in my journey and they were still in the anger stage or something. I didn't feel like they were encouraging and uplifting to me, so I dropped all of them. Sometimes blogging needs to feed the rest of your soul and remind you that there is more to your life than autism.
DeleteExactly Betsy! You put it so well!!
DeleteWell, tell your DIL to come say hello. I'd love to 'meet' her. :)
DeleteLove all the piccies and Spring has certainly arrived.
ReplyDeleteYour feet are nicer than mine . . . haha
Like the cat and mouse (squirrel) sequence.
I need a hair cut!! Care to style it? . . . there is plenty there still . . haha . . :)
Enjoy the house reclamation . . lol
DeleteHi Betsy - wonderful crab apple, Tiger and his target ... while I thought the pic of your belt and jeans and then the dinner - was reflecting the dinner was too much?! Sorry - had to put it in ... and the boys hair - a job to be done I guess ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteBoys are very happy about their hair cuts. haha. And it was so much easier to get them ready this morning without all those wild curls!
DeleteMmm, the salad looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteCutting hair three times is no small task. :)
Hope you had a wonderful relaxing weekend.
Oh my...I know! Assembly line! We trimmed fingernails, too! lol....
DeleteBetsy, with all that you do, I am not surprised that you cut hair too. And I bet you do it with love.
ReplyDeleteYes, that flat iron steak looks so inviting. I've never heard of it though and will definitely check out how to cook it.
Have a great week!
I've always cut all my guys' hair....originally it was to save money and then it's just convenient, too!
DeleteYou must try flat iron steak...I never buy any other kind. It's affordable and delish!
That a lot of hair
ReplyDeleteGive the cats a run for their money at your lair
And look at the friendly pair
Caught in a you'll never catch me stare
Nugget used to love the haircuts
Deleteas he'd run through it with his fuzzy butt.
Kind of miss that now.
No one to make me say, "Holy cow!" lol...
Oh that blossom will be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteRaining here...and cool..oh well..picking up Miss V...that will surely brighten things up!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
They said we would reach 82 degrees today and we only got to 55. Boy, did they get that wrong!
Deletehaha...but at least the sun is out!
