Easter Foyer Table

Now that St. Patrick's Day is over, I got busy putting
out a little Easter decor on my foyer table.
I like the neutral, understated look.
Everything is vintage, down to the carved stone eggs.
And the nest is real...taken out of a tree in our
yard years ago.   I had a terrible time with my
chalk pen, which wanted to leave blobs all over my board,
but I persevered and won...kind of. haha.

Now I just need to buy a ham and fill some
Easter baskets and I think we'll be ready!

    1. I didn't get them together, but I like eggs hanging on that tree!
It's held old postcards before, too, which I like.

    1. This one might stay until summer
as that chalkboard writing was really a bummer.
Not ready to erase it just yet.
Keeping it through spring is a really sure bet.
      haha.

    1. Oh, I cleaned off the blobs the best I could....my marker wouldn't draw a nice smooth
line...it either went dry or gave me too much! haha. It made the process very looooong. lol.

  12. I started singing as soon as I opened your blog....Love your chalk board and art work...sorry your chalk pen didn't want to cooperate. It's beatiful. I adore real bird nests, and have several I've saved over the years. Your entry way is just so inviting.

I did not put our any Easter this year with the exception of the Welcome Bunny Sign on the balcony. Our "retired" lives have taken such a crazy busy turn that I just didn't have the heart or the time to drag down the bins.

Much of the activity is getting ready for my 75th party which my girl's are planning, but keep me busy with guest lists, writing a biography, going shopping for a dress...etc..etc. etc. So I will just enjoy everyone elses Easter blogs. Love and Hugs.

    1. You sound happily busy! 75! How fun! Glad your kids are doing it up right and planning a big celebration for you!

Isn't that little birds nest something? It's so thin and fragile...doesn't look like it could hold a feather much less a brood of baby birds! It's tiny, too...I should try to do some online investigating and see what kind of bird makes them like that!

  14. Hi Betsy! your table look really pretty! you have a gift for decorating :-)! Happy Easter to you and your dear ones!

ps: I normally do not check mails or blogs during my holidays but giving the latest terrible event in Belgium I am online and I saw your kind words on my IG (I cannot use it from here though that is why I reply here). Thank you so much for stopping by and thinking of me. My friend was at the airport with her children during the explosions but thanks God they were not injured! It is not easy knowing that we will have to get back there ... but for now we try to enjoy our holidays as much as we can :-)!
