Coffee In A Beer Mug

I love vintage stuff.  Ironstone, especially!
So when I saw this over sized mug on Etsy, I
just had to have it!  Pretty color, pretty design...perfect!
I thought those were pine cones when I bought it but when
the package arrived I looked a little more closely.....
Hops?  Lol...of course!  Why didn't I notice that before?
But I don't mind.  You can drink coffee from a beer mug, right?
I don't really enjoy beer...maybe I'll put some White Zinfandel in
it some terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

  3. I'd drink coffee from a beer mug, or any other kind of mug.

Beer? I'd drink that straight from the bottle.

  4. Definitely hops, and very handsome too. But never never drink alcohol from china!

    1. Well, it's not fine china...more like stoneware...like a German beer stein.
But I'll stick to coffee with it.:)

    2. But still.... Stick to glass with your wine. There's something wrong about alcohol from porcelain / pottery / ironstone. It doesn't taste the same.

    3. No worries...it just seems wrong, doesn't? I'll get out a crystal stemmed glass for my wine. :)

  5. haha can suck back the coffee in anything at all
    There at your hall
But if you have such a day
    Can pull a double play
    Never liked beer one bit
To me always tasted worse than spit

  9. Like the "beer" mug! Like the beer idea. Or the wine. Just hope you never really have one of those days you described, though. Wine can be had on really, really GOOD days too.

    1. I'd much rather drink a glass a wine just for the fun of it than to dull the pain
of a bad day. haha. I've done both!

  11. I love mugs too and yours is so pretty! There are just the cutest things on Etsy ;).... Beer, yuck! I don't thing it would taste good in anything. But a little vino, just as you alluded to...can make a bad day go away!
