I enjoyed a few days in my studio creating these
pendants from vintage dominoes and scraps of old
greeting cards and calendars. There's even an old
postage stamp in there! And, they're reversible!
I've listed 25 of them in my etsy shop!

ReplyDeleteI like that you don't polish the silver. I don't polish mine.
You have a treasure trove of beautiful china. Wish I had the space and $$.
You have more creatively in your little finger then I have, counting all my digits.
Well, thank you very much. I love my little shop....a very fun
Deleteadventure there.
They are very nice. I like the one with the white dots on it; very unusual!
ReplyDelete(You knew I was going to say something like that, didn't you?)
Aren't you curious to know what's on the other side? haha.
DeleteNot MORE dots surely?

ReplyDeleteThey have a new life now! I literally rescued them from the trash!
DeleteThey are just adorable. How very clever. The variety is so cute. My dad was a great domino player.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a fun game....one of those great classics! Some sets are really fancy, I've discovered from working at the auctions.
DeleteHi Betsy - they are great ... so much fun. Love the domino one, and the Shakespeare one .. and then the roses ... can't go wrong .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteThey are all dominoes.....you just flip them over!
DeleteThey are gorgeous!! And for every taste. True artist that you are Betsy, one of y r many talents :-)
ReplyDeleteAnyone could make these, really! The hardest part was attaching those bales! haha.
DeleteThe idea is excellent. Not everyone would have it ;-)
DeleteHow CHARMING! Especially to us older folk whose childhood evenings spent over those old yellowed, clicking little tiles are fond memories. I was just lately looking for some of the my-era ones online, and found several of the old Bakelite sets, which I assume ours probably was. They were yellow as elephant's teeth, gilded with the enjoyable moments of many busy fingers.
ReplyDeleteNext visit from the GRANDS will include a graduation from GO FISH to dominoes, I think. What's not to love.
Continually amazed at your artistry and talents,
rachel
Those bakelite dominoes are really beautiful, aren't they? Maybe I'll find some of those in my searches!
