Isn't it huge? I read somewhere that the size of a squirrel's tail is an indication of how cold the winter will be. We seem to have started a little late on the cold but it's here now! -8 with the wind chill this morning! I bet he uses it as a blanket when he sleeps. ha.
We had a hugely fat squirrel outside the office window today. He was sitting on the bike store eating a pizza crust with great aplomb. We think he has eaten pizza before (this is London) and he really didn't care we were all peering out the window about 3 feet away. But his tail was a sad excuse for a tail. The forecast is for MUCH colder weather this weekend -10 Celcius maybe. That will be a horrid shock for us and our squirrel I think.
Isn't it beautiful! Visibility was almost zero for a while, but then it settled down to beautiful falling flakes. Super cold, though! Painful to your face to be outside...and your fingers, even in gloves!
You need a bird feeder attached to your window there. Cass and Orlin would sit there and stare. Or maybe fling themselves against the glass. Might really hurt their head and a$$. haha.
He's wearing a coat! haha. Your rain must be waiting for our cold temps to cross the ocean before it turns to snow! If you get it, I want to see pictures!
Yes he has hasn't he? . . . lol But if I was him I'd want another . . . . brrr. lol . . . we always get your rain or cold or snow or tail end of hurricanes . . what have we done to you? We are only trying to be friendly . . . haha
Yes I will snap some photos when snow comes and take great car not to get frost bite in the process . . haha
Well 250 years ago it was such a shame you did not like us . . lol Perhaps it was the red colour of our uniforms but you just kicked us out . . . lol. Are you sorry? ha Now . . . well I think you all love us . . . . ha
Love that little bird ~ Titmouse did Linda call it . . .
Poor Cyril! I think you should do the decent thing and invite him in. Have you given him some peanuts? It looks like he's holding a little Squirrel-iPhone and taking a picture of you taking a picture of him! Cat? What cat? I see no cat.
He looks right at me through the window. So cute. And the other little one who I thought was a baby is there around. Now I'm thinking it's his little lady. haha. No way to know for sure, though.
I see you now have the snow and cold temps. that I've had for about a week or so. Wish you could take mine and add it to yours! It should start melting here tomorrow, though, because it's supposed to be in the 40's and even rain on Friday. I'm leaving for Florida Feb. 1 for a week and cannot wait for warmer temperatures!
OMG!!! I love that Titmouse! I have NEVER had one of those in my garden...awesome! Lovely photos...of Mr Winters arrival! Enjoy your evening... Cheers! Linda :o)
I didn't even notice the junco on GG's head! The titmouse is so sweet. Love his little mohawk. I looked it up and we do have the tufted titmouse in Canada but it says it barely ranges into southeastern Canada in the Great Lakes region. Not too common here, I guess.
Awww love each and every frost picture. Garden girl is covered in snow and she still smiles. Would be nice to be always so serene ... haha. Love Cyril! I just want to cuddle him!! And the birdie is so beautiful, look at his eye :-)
Boy, Betsy, you REALLY wanted those pictures today!! With wind chills in the negatives, I believe those would have just by-passed me altogether, and I'd have waited on the spring daffodils to show up! Good work on the pics!
Weather! What an amazing tail that squirrel has.

Isn't he sweet! Do you have them in Canada? Maybe one will come visit soon!
DeleteI didn't even notice the junco on GG's head!

I guess that explains why Linda doesn't have any in her yard.
DeleteIf there were some nearby I'm sure they would find all of her feeders!
Definitely. We will have to start posting signs.
DeleteThis way -----> to Linda's!
haha...exactly!
DeleteWhat attracts them? What kind of seed are they eating at yours....too darn cute!
DeleteThe only thing I have out is black oil sunflower seeds, so I know they like those!
DeleteThese are all such pretty shots! I love the color splashes from the birds and the cat!
ReplyDeleteTiny color splashes! All that white really makes them show up!
DeleteHow did I miss so much? I like winter at your house...especially the squirrel!
ReplyDeleteWell, you have a good excuse. haha. Hope you're on the road to recovery now!
DeleteHi Betsy - that does look cold! Lovely photos though .. it's good to see the sun here! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteExtremely cold! Brr. But I love winter...so beautiful!
DeleteHmmm.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to look at Frosty Photos is from the inside looking out. Just sayin.
haha....well, I would agree to that!
DeleteAwww love each and every frost picture. Garden girl is covered in snow and she still smiles. Would be nice to be always so serene ... haha.

ReplyDeleteWell, the daffodils don't show up here until April, so we aren't even going to think about them just yet! haha..
